Hint: You are not making America great again by squabbling over a phrase everyone knows dates back to Reagan and possibly before. Who cares? It is a phrase, not action. It’s a slogan, not even a principle.

"Make America Great Again" Ted coined it first in this campaign video. Not true. First time I heard it was from Ronald Reagan in 1979 in his campaign for President.

If that's true he didn't/doesn't have the marketing brains to capitalize on it.
If he tries to use it now it will just make him look stupider just like when he said he's going to build a wall.
He's a "me too", "what about me?" candidate.

Not very reassuring or showing any confidence. Who was he planning on helping? Trump, a genuine leader?

Hogwash! It was Ronald Reagan back in the early 1980s who first said it. Trump and Cruz have both “borrowed” it. Trump did meet, knew and supported Reagan, which puts him closer to the source. However, none of these words are copyrighted; and very recently Marco Rubio even borrowed the words and told an audience he wants their help to make America great again. How? By bringing in more aliens from south of the border, would be my guess./S

And they both got it from Ronaldus Magnus. I have the campaign poster to prove it.

Whoever used it first, it sure became the best phrase of the year with even M. Rubio using it.

"It's a time for truth, a time to rise to the challenge just as Americans have always done. It's going to take a new generation of courageous Conservatives to help make America great again. And I'm ready to help lead that fight."
Little long for a slogan. Regardless I like both Trump and Cruz

Trump applied for a trademark for “Make America Great Again” in November 2012 — mere days after the last presidential election.
