I’ve been saying for years here that not only is the US (”American”) birthrate in the toilet, but the few whites I know that breed are doing so for the same reason as welfare gibsmedats. A lot of my children’s friends are from broken homes; it has become so “normal” that now we have a Christmas/holiday comedy coming to theaters celebrating it (something with a father & stepfather).

If this is true, the work of globalist, atheist, marxist masters has already been done. The cake is in the oven. Resisters are simply arguing over how long it should cook.

Agree. Didn’t realize how lucky I was to grow up in that environment. Sad that I couldn’t recreate that for my own.

with parents in their first marriage with a father who worked and a stay-at-home mother

I expect a large part of the decline is because more mothers have jobs.

I was a child of this environment, and thankful to have it for my family including my 12 year old son. My main concern now is his future family - that is why he is homeschooled.

Between Roe vs. Wade, NOW and other ERA movements, taking the majority of women out of the home because of the necessity of generating a paycheck, and other radical movements like the homosexual agenda (at least 11 different classifications of sexuality), NAMBLA, and other commie ploys, the Left has done irreparable harm - mission is almost complete.

The question is, how much are we willing to do to try to turn it around.....

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

As a child of the 50s and 60s, it breaks my heart to see what this nation has become.

The “good old days” are truly gone forever.

I have two young children and my wife stays home. It’s a lot of sacrifice but I feel it’s worth every bit. It’s actually inspired me to work harder than I ever have and I’ve made much progress in my career as a result. Also, it allows the man to EARN his rightful place as the head of the household. Something rarely seen today.

We’re the 14%.

Difficult? Sure

Worthwhile? Absolutely.

Never a new car, small house, limited toys. Great family

“Asian children are the most likely to be living with a stay-at-home mom and working dad in their first marriage. Almost one-fourth (24%) are, due in large part to the high rates of marital stability among Asians; fully 71% of Asian children are living with parents in their first marriage.” — Pew survey 2015

In 2013, 67% of black children lived with a single parent.
— CHILDREN IN SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES BY RACE by National KIDS COUNT.

Me: Is this disparity due to “Asian” privilege?

As written, it excludes families where there was a short and early, childless marriage, followed by a traditional SECOND marriage (like mine), with children and a stay-at-home mother. I think that makes the figure somewhat lower than it should be in thinking about the children’s environment.

Thank Ronald Reagan. As governor of California, he signed the first no-fault divorce law in the country, against a huge amount of moral outrage and dire predictions by the Christian right at the time. This is one of three legs of the stool that led us were we are. This law rewards the immoral for their actions, coupled with welfare that rewards having children out of wedlock, and “anti-discrimination” laws that don’t permit discriminating against unmarried couples for employment or renting.

The underlying problem is acute, but I suspect that many of those being defined as 86% of contemporary families, are not really families at all. Social chaos is not part of any legitimate family structure.

“——— In the 1960s 50 percent of children lived in that family environment———”

That figure seems low to me.

I was raising my kids in the 60s and know only ONE mother who worked full time.

This is by design. The left wanted to destroy the family, and they've pretty much done it. The first step was the pill, the second was getting women out of the home and into the workforce, and the final big one is "early childhood education," which will attempt to get infants and toddlers out of the home and into government-run day care/indoctrination centers.

Ironically, what the left now wants to do to ALL families - separate parents from their children - is what was done a hundred years ago to Native American families, a practice which the left now pretends to decry. But their impulses remain the same.
