Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clintonâs biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."
New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the womenâs card on me, sheâs wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.
Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.
Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.
"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. âWe have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."
He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.
"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

Still looking to have all those who don’t support Trump banned?
Seriously? Hillary uses the "war on women" and the gender card like a cudgel. You think it makes no difference that she is married to a rapist just so she can gain political power?
Yeah, I understand you don’t want responses from Cruz supporters; you want to tirade unopposed.
It’s not happening.
BTW, you seem angry. Even agitated.
These idiots don't know that Christ was calling the Pharisees the children of Satan, and Paul was calling heretics "dogs," believers in devils, and urging them to emasculate themselves!
I do not understand this sissyified nonsense put out by Cruz and his supporters.
We most certainly agree that there will be no solution without ... “a return to faith in God and forsaking trust in man and his government,...”
And I think we have chosen to learn this the hard way :-(
...though with God we have great hope for the final outcome! ;-)
Never wrestle with a pig...
I am surprised at what I found out in the last year. We do not need another Bushweenie.
That said, he is my number 2, but I do not think he could win against the Clintons. Especially by acting like Bob Dole.
LOL
Uh-huh
I have reason to believe we are in for an amazing time of renewal and rebirth of freedom, spiritually, politically, and economically. And America’s renewal will shine a light around the world, I believe, one last time for a few decades, before He takes us up and it all comes crashing down.
“I very much support Ted Cruz in taking this position.”
Agree - Media wants it to be personal, getting away from policy always favors the Dems, that’s the only way they win.
It is 20 year old news that did work back when it was relevant. It should have. It didn’t. Why go back to that? The Clintons won that round. Bill is above the law. Apparently so is Hillary what with her email scandal and all.

Sorry guys, Donald Trump has something more exciting to talk about.
I meant did NOT work 20 years ago. Sorry, but editing on my part.
I knew what you meant.
Good. You’re smart enough to understand my bad typing days and put it all in context. I’m glad for smart freeper friends. My brain thinks one thing but my fingers type another sometimes.
There's going to be somebody who brings up Bill Clinton when Hillary starts up with the "#GOPWaronWomen" stuff.
It just won't be Ted Cruz.
Or at least there ought to be somebody who's willing to talk about Bill Clinton.
One difference to 2008 is that people know more about Hillary. She can't sneak in as an unknown like Obama did.
If we must talk about Bill Clinton we should talk of those who died in Mogudishu and connect them to Hillary and those who died in Benghazi.
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.And all of these (and there are many more) are expressions of the following principle:
(Colossians 4:6)
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
(Ephesians 4:29)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
(1 Peter 3:15)
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.Which principle James expands on here, as a summation of his long and famous pronouncement against the many evils of that fiery, unbridled tongue:
(James 1:26)
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.Just remember, the meek will inherit the earth. There is nothing wrong (or "sissified") with exercising self-control. Especially if you aren't God in the flesh, or an apostle speaking the God-breathed words of Scripture. Just sayin ...
(James 3:17-18)
The meek will inherit the earth. What planet did the Meek come from?
