Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton’s biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."
New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.
Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.
Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.
"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. “We have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."
He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.
"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

Hillary’s covering up of Bill MULTIPLE sexual assaults IS an issue in my opinion.
The only “war on women” I have seen in my lifetime is the war Hillary waged against the victims of Bill’s unwanted sexual attacks!

Anyone who doesn’t wait to respond to this gang any longer than at the first sign of attack, which happened a week ago, which anyone paying attention would know. And of course it happened over the holiday. Anyone who knows the resell enemy as they’re going to need to in this election, and it is the Clinton’s, knows they do news dumps over the holiday and on weekends.

Yes, it’s the problem with the discussion on the Board— They refuse to engage in objective political discourse. Any reasoned effort critique Trump is automatically viewed as an attack.
Cruz’s position here is merely good politics.

He is correct. And the GOP are fools if they make it an issue. But for us, no one really cares, We leave in a VERY different, permissive, world now.
Why would he make a statement now? He’s not running against Bill......he hasn’t even gotten the the nod to run against Hillary but he’s focused plenty of time on her.
Bill is a side show. His job is to secure the nomination, not talk about Bill’s indiscretions.
He can against rail Bill when he goes up against Hillary.
Like I mentioned earlier... everything Hillary has said and done will be attacked accordingly. The issue isn't Bill Clinton himself... the issue is Hillary's past support of the treatment of those he victimized. That's how Cruz will operate. Stay tuned... this is still quite early.
