The mistake people make when they hear that is that they assume Trump--who has run a decidedly non-traditional campaign--will start "spending big" in a traditional manner via TV ad buys.

While there undoubtedly will be some slick TV ads, I expect Trump to catch the competition flat-footed here by using that money in some very unorthodox get-out-the-vote methods. For example, fleets of buses providing free transportation to and from caucus venues. Free babysitting services for those caucus goers with young children, etc. Who says "spending" has to be ad buys?

I think you’ve pretty much touched on a good point. Unconventional is the key word for Trump.

Those who think this guy is not focused on Iowa and every other state are in for a rude awakening.

Soon they’ll be saying Trump bought the election.

As we’ve seen, they’ll say most anything. Sad really...

I don’t see anyone complaining that Cruz is outspending Trump by a very wide margin right now.
