DIANA WEST: IT’S TIME TO RALLY AROUND DONALD TRUMP
BREITBART.COM ^ | 26 DECEMBER 2015 | DIANA WEST

Posted on 12/27/2015 2:27:54 AM PST by Helicondelta

Bozell states that Cruz is the one candidate who will return the United States to "her Constitutional foundations and Judeo-Christian values," explaining:

On every issue of crucial importance to conservatives-defunding Planned Parenthood, ending the Obamacare nightmare, reducing the size of government, opposing amnesty-Cruz is not only with conservatives, he's led the fight for conservatives.

To be honest, if these were the only issues under discussion in this GOP presidential primary season I would hardly be able to make myself pay attention. It's not that they are unimportant issues. Personally, I support every one of them. But they are not existential issues.

...

As Trump makes clear, our country's representatives have no clue. Worse, they seem content to remain in ignorance no matter how many Americans die, no matter how far sharia spreads. Not Trump. When you think about it, his call for a Muslim immigration moratorium is really a no-brainer - but whose "politically correct" brain is capable even of thinking of it, let alone calling for it out loud? I regret to say that Sen. Cruz does not support Trump's moratorium, deferring instead to a rosier vision of Islam and immigration screening both in order, politely, to reject it.

That's too bad, but so it goes, further testament to the fearless, agenda-setting powers of Trump. It's really quite incredible: soon, maybe even before it's too late, GOP primary voters will have a clear choice on walls, borders, immigration, even Islamic immigration (and, I would hope, the related issue of Islamic law), all because Donald Trump plucked these crucial issues from the void where the politicians, including good conservatives, have been eager to leave them.

Go Trump!

Two comments:

#1: Do you want jobs or a handout?

Real men vote for jobs and the guy best ale to provide them.

#2:
There are others who have donated more to charity. Bill Gates is one who comes to mind.

But look at some of the crazy over the edge liberal groups he supports with that money.

To whom money is donated is more important than the amount given if you want to determine the giver’s motives and politics.

I am pretty sure the founding fathers did not mean a person born on foreign soil to a foreign citizen father and an American citizen mother when that put the Natural Born Citizen (NBC) clause into our Constitution.

IMHO there a three types of citizens.

NBC; Two American citizen parents born on US soil (acceptations for Military and Diplomats serving overseas)
Citizen at birth; Parents are a married couple with one parent a US Citizen. Or mother is a US citizen.
Naturalized Citizen.

I know born on US soil gives citizenship at birth but I think that needs to be changed pronto. I also do not think that was the intent of the 14th

And then there is this

There is a procedure for a child broad to acquire birth citizenship, note I did not say natural born citizenship, just citizenship at birth. This procedure has been in place since 1910.

From search.ancestry.com
Contained in this database are birth reports from U.S. Consulates abroad between the years of 1910 and 1949. The report form is called A Consular Report of Birth Abroad and is primary proof of the individual's American citizenship. To qualify, the child must have either two U.S. citizen parents with one of the parents having resided in the U.S. prior to the child's birth, or one of the child's parents must be a U.S. citizen who has resided in the U.S. for a specified number of years previous to the child's birth.

From the US State Department
A child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent or parents may acquire U.S. citizenship at birth if certain statutory requirements are met. The child's parents should contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America (CRBA) to document that the child is a U.S. citizen. If the U.S. embassy or consulate determines that the child acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, a consular officer will approve the CRBA application and the Department of State will issue a CRBA, also called a Form FS-240, in the child's name.

The procedure is as documented for US Armed forces families at military.findlaw.com but this procedure applies to all US citizens living aboard.

From military.findlaw
If the parents are married to each other, the child is a U.S. citizen if

One parent is a U.S. citizen, and the U.S. citizen parent lived in the U.S. for at least five years prior to the child's birth, at least two of which were after the age of fourteen.

In Cruzs' case the above is applicable. Then the procedure to acquire "birth citizenship" is:

After the parents have determined that their child is a U.S. citizen, they need to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad at the nearest U.S. consulate. The parents will need to submit an application (PDF), along with documentation proving the parents' citizenship and the record of the child's birth from the resident country. The Consular Report of Birth Abroad can be used later as proof of the child's U.S. citizenship, and may be used to obtain a U.S. passport for the child.

Nice try....a couple of events in Paris and San Bernardino happened after the O'Reilly episode.

And Trump was the last person on the planet to recognize the danger?

Meanwhile from September 8th 2015

CRUZ: We Need to Address the Cause of the Migrant Crisis (caused by radical Islamic terrorism)

"In terms of settling the migrants, if the ultimate goal is to return them to their homes, which I believe it should be, it doesn't make sense from a logistical or a security standpoint to move large numbers of them to far-off countries like the United States.

Cruz proposed a three year moratorium on migration from any country where the Islamic State is active, before Trump said anything.

And the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens...”

It seems you and Cruz conveniently overlook the wording here - citizens, i.e. plural, i.e. children of two citizens of the United States. NOT one citizen, two.

No, but the first to bring it to national attention to the point where it’s first and foremost on everyone’s agenda. Trump drives the narrative, everyone else is playing catch up.

“...You just said that the Constitution was Amended by an act of Congress...”

Not sure where you saw “amendment” when I specifically wrote “legislation”. The “Naturalization Act of 1790” has no need to change the Constitution, nor did it seek to. it merely clarifies those who should also be considered NBC per the opinions/arguments of founding fathers during that session of the US Congress.

It establishes a further clarification of NBC at the time of, and by, the founding fathers.

I wrote that congress passed the “Naturalization Act of 1790” (described as “legislation”, *NOT* “amendment*) a mere 3 years after the Constitution was written, said congress including founding fathers who were participants in the writing of the US Constitution.

What you posted debates a made-up point (amendment) that I didn’t write.

I’d be happy to entertain another attempt though. Do you have any other legislative or judicial reference that adds to the understanding of “who” may be considered as a “Natural Born Citizen” that was made by founding fathers at the time the Constitution was written? Perhaps you can show in the US Constitution where it clarifies NBC? Perhaps you can show further legislation (or amendment, if you wish) that reverts that passage from the “Naturalization Act of 1790”?

Until then, I’ll stick with the written, codified, opinions of the founding fathers to understand their intent regarding NBC.

Good Luck with it!

Trump trolling, again, we see.

This has been explained, repeatedly, but for some reason you refuse to comprehend.

When the *refugee* migration throngs began invading Europe, via Greece, most people....including many right here on FR....were sympathetic towards their *dire* situation (that’s what was being reported by the press, 24/7).

Once it was discovered (with the help of several astute FReepers) that these *refugees* were, in fact, 20 - 30 year old, well dressed, smart phone toting muslim men, is when eyes (including Trump’s) opened and minds quickly changed.

I know your candidate has wiggled on H1- B visas, immigration path, and....as this article points out, Islam and immigration screening .... but We the People are ready for the candidate who has done more for the political landscape and debate topics, than ANY politician has in the past two decades.

So, take your silly, homemade Trump graphics and go post them on a CRuz thread.....where folks there may actually fall for what you’re trying to peddle.

Ted Cruz is a fringe Establishment candidate and IMO ‘best of breed’. He is the ‘Maverick’ that McLame wanted to be. However he is still Establishment which is the problem.

Don’t you have a CRuz thread to post on?

We’re not buying the snark the CRuzies are pushing, here on Trump threads.

Have a nice day....over on your CRuz thread.

Trump tells the truth as he sees it. Cruz still bows to political correctness in order to avoid the traps set by the Marxist press. Cruz still wants to have a political career left after the election and Trump doesn’t care. That frees DT to tell the truth and handcuffs Cruz to some degree.

“...I am pretty sure the founding fathers did not mean a person born on foreign soil to a foreign citizen father and an American citizen mother when that put the Natural Born Citizen (NBC) clause into our Constitution...”

I pointed you straight to an act, passed by a Congress that included founding fathers, in their *own* words, clarifying that children of US Citizens born abroad *shall* be considered NBC.

I don’t know how much clearer the founding fathers could have been.
