DIANA WEST: IT’S TIME TO RALLY AROUND DONALD TRUMP
BREITBART.COM ^ | 26 DECEMBER 2015 | DIANA WEST

Posted on 12/27/2015 2:27:54 AM PST by Helicondelta

Bozell states that Cruz is the one candidate who will return the United States to "her Constitutional foundations and Judeo-Christian values," explaining:

On every issue of crucial importance to conservatives-defunding Planned Parenthood, ending the Obamacare nightmare, reducing the size of government, opposing amnesty-Cruz is not only with conservatives, he's led the fight for conservatives.

To be honest, if these were the only issues under discussion in this GOP presidential primary season I would hardly be able to make myself pay attention. It's not that they are unimportant issues. Personally, I support every one of them. But they are not existential issues.

...

As Trump makes clear, our country's representatives have no clue. Worse, they seem content to remain in ignorance no matter how many Americans die, no matter how far sharia spreads. Not Trump. When you think about it, his call for a Muslim immigration moratorium is really a no-brainer - but whose "politically correct" brain is capable even of thinking of it, let alone calling for it out loud? I regret to say that Sen. Cruz does not support Trump's moratorium, deferring instead to a rosier vision of Islam and immigration screening both in order, politely, to reject it.

That's too bad, but so it goes, further testament to the fearless, agenda-setting powers of Trump. It's really quite incredible: soon, maybe even before it's too late, GOP primary voters will have a clear choice on walls, borders, immigration, even Islamic immigration (and, I would hope, the related issue of Islamic law), all because Donald Trump plucked these crucial issues from the void where the politicians, including good conservatives, have been eager to leave them.

Go Trump!

I do not believe that this is an accurate summary of Senator Cruz's position in this issue. Nor does the author give an accurate summary of Trump's position, as I understand it after his walk-back.

I don't think there is any substantial difference in the positions of these men on this issue, and more importantly, beyond the rhetoric, I don't think there is any difference at all in the policies either man could or would implement in office.

That is a very very lame and practically incoherent criticism.

This shows that Cruz is not serious.

No, it shows that Trump is not serious. Tossing out suggestions for programs without a clue as to whether they can be accomplished or not is not the sign of a thoughtful candidate. It's the sign of someone that throws out the first thing that comes to mind.

After Trump default on the loans he’s going to say they’re not cute little angels that we default the loan on, they’re killers. They’re Loan Sharks. China/Japan, they took advantage of us because our leaders were stupid. We gave them aid money while they turn around and loan to back to us with interest. They’re smart and our leaders are stupid

Sorry, doesn't mean diddly squat and you know it. TRYE "charity" is creating real wealth and providing jobs that empower people. Faux charity such as the Pharisees had, looks good on the tax return but changes few lives.

I suspect you won't, but look at a video series by Acton Institute called "Poverty, INC." about the guilt ridden "charity" business. People like Trump are the only true "givers" left.

We have to face reality in this country and put a moratorium on all immigration. That means no more Syrian refugees, no more Mexican and Central American illegals, and no more H-1B technical workers. We need to clean our house and any GOP politician who waffles on this should not get our vote.

If we don't do exactly this soon, nothing else will really matter. And any non-left candidate will never have any hope of winning any election, even local ones.

Cruz, Rubio, Paul, 1st term Senators who cannot wait to move up the political food chain, likely because, IMHO, the longer they actually serve in their current positions, the less likely they are to pass muster.

Rubio has to be kidding to be presenting himself as a principled conservative. Cruz seems to recognize that being all things to all men will not well serve for long his ambitions. Rand has such a confused view of the world that it is difficult to understand just who voted for him to become Senator.

Someone should ask Cruz how he can take money from pro-amnesty Club For Growth and Wallbuilders at the same time. The first wants open borders for cheap labor the second wants what we want: a Wall - which can and will be built when we get President Donald J. Trump.

Donald Trump: The Least Charitable Billionaire In The World..

So we are quick to see Trump’s contributions, how do they compare to the others? Not in dollars but in percentages

That is a very very lame and practically incoherent criticism.

But hey, no matter how ill-conceived, poorly written or one-sided, as long as a Trump criticism can feed a TDS sufferer's neurosis, they deem it A-OK!

For further consideration...GatesofVienna explored this tempestuous subject extensively through multiple threads interacting between the Radosh/FPMag and DianaWest analyses. It is my opinion that Diana sourced her material convincingly.

Beating this drum of yours, you are really coming across as a self-righteous, liberal Roman Catholic.

Enjoy your self-beatification.

And don’t bother responding to me. I had a self-righteous Roman Catholic Mother-in-Law from Mexico who managed to break-up my marriage after convincing my son’s Mother (her daughter) that after ignoring firm discipline for 14-years, it was appropriate to use physical and emotional abuse to try and catch-up, especially about failure to adhere to her “pure” religion.

OUT!

Cruz: “There is no doubt we would need to vet anyone coming in, but there is no indication that we have Muslims pretending to be Christians in the coming refugee wave,” Cruz said before an event at the College of Charleston, concluding his three-day swing across the Palmetto State. “If that develops to be a problem, then our first obligation should be protecting our national security.”

Cruz, like other Republican hardliners, has argued that the risk of Islamic militants infiltrating the refugee population is too high for America to accept them with open arms. On the stump across South Carolina, Cruz argued that the percentage of refugees that are young men suggests that ISIS may look to take advantage of any relaxation of immigration laws.

The Texas senator instead thinks that Muslims fleeing the Syrian civil war should be repopulated to other Muslim countries. But the Christian population, he believes, has nowhere else to go, and Cruz batted away concerns by telling reporters in Myrtle Beach on Sunday that Christians posed “no meaningful risk” to national security.
