House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi explained her support for the $1.2 trillion spending bill that the Republican Congress passed yesterday and President Obama signed into law by pointing out to reporters that the Republicans "were willing to concede so much" to get the bill passed.
The bill, Pelosi noted, did not stop funding of Planned Parenthood, and the Republicans "had to take out their provisions to destroy ACA"--the Affordable Care Act, AKA Obamacare.
Pelosi argued that the Republican leaders were so intent on getting a provision to allow exports of U.S. crude oil that they were "willing to give up so much." ...

I see no other recourse than for us - Americans - to stop funding the budget.
Franklin Graham has withdrawn from theRepublican Party today because Ryan gave the baby butchers at Planned Parenthood full funding of half billion of our tax dollars to continue their War Against Babies. In Jan. he will begin a speaking tour to unite opposition to the ungodly office hders in both political parties. Ryan’s budget proved there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between him and Pelosi.
Its not a budget but yet another continuing resolution. There hasnt been a budget in years. Thats part of the problem.

My theory is he wants people to think he looks like Aaron Rogers so folks will like him.
Most of the Republicans in Congress work for the billionaire donor class (and so do the Rats). Everyone but Trump is owned by the billionaire donor class. The billionaire donors will allow their Congressmen and Senators to talk the talk during an election but as we have seen over and over again they will not be allowed to walk the walk once safely back in DC. Particularly Senators since they only have to sound like they are for the people once every 6 years.
Don't be fooled again! Vote Trump he is the only candidate not owned by billionaire donors.
So the Democrats now hold the Republican Congressional leadership in such low respect that they openly brag about how badly they beat the GOP in budget negotiations. So Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have absolutely no cover to say that they got anything. I wonder how long these two men and the rest of the GOP “leadership” will be willing to be humiliated and ridiculed by pretty much everyone who deals with them? Its like Donald Trump says — absolutely no one respects a weak loser. And that is what the GOP Congressional “leadership” is — weak losers. And no one is covering for them or making excuses for them anymore.

Nancy would like for you to believe that. There are other reports that conservatives did get fair amount of concessions: $620B of tax cuts and lifting the ban on oil exports.
Did we get everything we wanted? NO! But we probably got as much as we could hope for. And, no, shutting down the government was/is not an option regardless of many who desired to do so.
