Ban guns. All guns. Get rid of guns in homes, and on the streets, and, as much as possible, on police. Not just because of San Bernardino, or whichever mass shooting may pop up next, but also not not because of those. Don't sort the population into those who might do something evil or foolish or self-destructive with a gun and those who surely will not. As if this could be known--as if it could be assessed without massively violating civil liberties and stigmatizing the mentally ill. Ban guns! Not just gun violence. Not just certain guns. Not just already-technically-illegal guns. All of them.
I used to refer to my position on this issue as being in favor of gun control. Which is true, except that "gun control" at its most radical still tends to refer to bans on certain weapons and closing loopholes. The recent New York Times front-page editorial, as much as it infuriated some, was still too tentative. "Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership," the paper argued, making the case for "reasonable regulation," nothing more. Even the rare ban-guns arguments involve prefacing and hedging and disclaimers. "We shouldn't 'take them away' from people who currently own them, necessarily," writes Hollis Phelps in Salon. Doncha just love being told what to do by the so much smarter, East Coast, private school educated, U faculty, disproportionately Jewish young people of today? Why, there is just so many of them that are more worldly and experienced than the rest of us (see Slate, Salon, HuffPo, e.g.)

Good idea.. While we're at it let's ban theft and rape. I never thought it could be this easy...but you're right. We'll ban ALL the bad stuff then it won't happen.

It is about lack of grooming and BO in men. This article illustrates the kind of males she grew up with, went to NYU with, associates with at venues such as The Atlantic, Huff Po, The New Republic and the kind of male she dates.
It was shortly after the war when people had a very close association with American Values and number one of them was respect for our Servicemen and our way of life. The fifties were the end of a beautiful feeling when somebody said “American.” The 60’s and 70’s were the beginning of the slide into AntiAmericanism and Communism thanks to the likes of Jane Fonda and John Kerry who were and are Traitors!

The whole point of my response was that there is no way whatsoever they could ever meet my conditions as it would be impossible, and even then i would only even somewhat half heartily consider and then only one, but since they would never meet those initial conditions then it will never happen.
