Trump continues to stump GOP establishment

You don't need a focus group to know which way the wind is blowing.

It is blowing at Donald Trump's back.

He is rude, crude and shrewd, and he has taken the country by storm. You cannot ignore him.

He may or may not win the GOP nomination or be elected president. Either way he has set the table for the election by bringing to the forefront the two main issues facing the country, terrorism and immigration.

Trump has upended American politics by bluntly saying what he believes in his unvarnished way -- that a leaderless United States has fallen behind -- which happens to be what millions of Americans believe as well.

I am getting VERY tired of this “Trump is rude and outrageous” meme...

HE IS NO- HE is just being honest and truthful FOR A CHANGE.

IF they actually payed attention to their base they wouldn’t be stumped at the Go To Hell attitude of Trump.

“I am getting VERY tired of this “Trump is rude and outrageous” meme...”

After 7 years of “weak and feeble”, of course people would thing Trump is outrageous. His strength and leadership is foreign to the sheep blindly going with the flow.

I know I know.....
...sometimes I’m like, oy vey, when he lets a mild expletive loose.....
...but he loves our country......he has learned to love her people too.....and he’s quite angry with how they are treated.

I got so angry with Bernard Goldman last night I was yelling.....’you have an ugly head’.....
It wasn’t Donald Trump level, but Bernard would have got the message if he had heard me.
GO TRUMP!

I'm still for Cruz, but any candidate stumping for votes from ANYONE is not a negative. Every candidate has enough minor or major negatives that we don't need to act like Dems and create stupid ones. They all need as many votes as possible. Asking ANYONE for their vote is not a negative. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth listening to.

And Trump jumped up a few notches in my book with his response to this week's Omnibus bill passage by Ryan. I'm slightly less wary of Trump now (and have often said that I will vote for Trump, as GOP or 3rd party, should Cruz not get the GOP nomination).

People underestimate how effing smart Trump is. His rough language and occasional profanity is an assault on “political correctness” which is, as we all know” warfare of the Marxist left—using diction and word choice. HIS LANGUAGE IS A POLITICAL STRAYTEGY!!!

Trump is single handedly setting the political correctness, cultural fascism movement back decades. He is bulldozing. The real estate guy is bulldozing the land and resetting the foundations. Trump I not a candidate—he is a counter revolution.

By any conventional measure, he is, actually.

Trump is running, primarily, on one issue and one issue only. Yes, he has other stated positions but the majority of people do not know and do not care. They couldn’t tell you what Trump’s positions are on other issues even if their lives depended on it. Neither could Trump, I imagine.

He is running on a tough immigration platform and that is it. Even that only has three points. That is all he needs. 1. Build a wall and keep illegals out. 2. Get rid of the illegals that are here. 3. Stop letting terrorists in.

That’s all there is to it. It resonates with people. It is simple. It is what people want. Trump has a very good chance to win the Republican nomination on this and this alone.

He obviously didn’t know what the nuclear triad is during the last debate and his rambling nonsense of an answer only highlighted his ignorance on the topic. It would be death to any other candidate’s hopes in any other time.

This, however, is not any other time. It is now. People have no jobs or, if lucky enough, have jobs where they make less than did many years ago. Where is the blame to be placed? Someone is to blame and something is to blame. A typical politician would fire a shotgun blasting as many policies as possible. Trump fired a rifle at one target. Trump blamed the illegal aliens.

He is only partly right but the fact is that he pinpointed the blame on one single factor and it worked. He simplified a problem to the extreme and voiced some very easy solutions to it. Build a wall. Keep them out. Get rid of the ones that are here.

He did the same thing with his ban Muslims comments (which is closely related to the Mexican problem). Don’t let them in. Simple.

People like simplicity. They don’t like nuance and politispeak. The fact that he actually is crass and rude doesn’t hurt him in the least. It helps him make his point in even simpler terms.

This is an issue a five year old could solve. Trump solved it, rightly, I might add, using the logic of a five year old. This is what is “outrageous.”

I would still never vote for the guy because I see his life-long progressive positions as a real danger. He gets this one right, though.

New York hasn’t had a President since Teddy Roosevelt:

Teddy Roosevelt Has The Perfect Answer For Today’s Muslim Migrant Immigration Crisis

“We have room for but one flag, the American flag … We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language … and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

STRAYTEGY

If that wasn't intentional it should have been. He's definitely strayed off the PC path.

It is rough. It is tough. It does not take $hit off anybody. And if you complain about it, it will rip you a new a$$hole!

I agree, though I think it really has to do a lot with timing. In a different time and place (say, the borders are secure, terrorists are not infiltrating our country, the economy is booming with little government intervention/regulation, the middle class is vibrant and robust, etc.) a nuanced and smooth politician that can speak eloquently would probably be fine.

But that time is not now...no borders and unfettered/unchecked immigration means no nation (eventually) or worse, very bad actors slipping into the country to do great harm and wreak havoc. Internationally, we have a soup sandwich and the rest of the world is trying to figure out how to deal with the US vacuum of leadership. First things first...it’s pretty simple...straight forward no BS no PC speech and strong leadership with the best and brightest (not political hacks) at the President’s side.

Close the border, build the wall, get the criminals out, rebuild/retool the military, get the govt out of the way of the economy and let it heal itself so manufacturing can come back and people can get back to work developing a strong middle class; make America great again.
