December 17, 2015, 05:38 pm Trump calls 'highly respected' Putin's comments a 'great honor'
By Bradford Richardson
âIt is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond,â the GOP presidential front-runner told supporters at a rally in Columbus, Ohio.
âI have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect,â he added.

Trump is actually showing some diplomatic skills.
Didn’t respond about being liked as you did on being liked by Putin but rather being told where I can and cannot go.
Ignore like your emotional outburst?
Haha! I think Trump and Putin are two who actually love their countries unlike many others.
And Trump won’t get played nor will he sell out like many of our politicians.
Oh okay. Sorry about that
Please tell me you’re joking.
Amen to that.
Even in 1988/90, Russia wasn’t our enemy. The 3rd world countries were our enemy (ME, various countries in Africa, LA, etc.) and the liberals in this country were/are our enemies. The Cold War ended (thanks to Reagan, Thatcher, and Pope JPII).
Putin is looking out for his country’s interests. Obama isn’t looking out for our country’s interests.
It’s a shame America doesn’t know what’s best for Americans.
You should at least respect your enemy, not tell the Hollywood buttkissers to produce films that portray Russian characters and Russian leaders as brutal scum who deserve to have Denzel Washington dance into the Kremlin and kill the Russian leader’s a@@ like in The Equalizer film.
So has our President.
Beyond?
In Ukraine? Mostly no.
In Poland and the Baltics? Mostly no.
In the US, given Putin's enabling of a nuclear Iran? The answer should be no.
And you respect our president?
I certainly don't.
Only if Alberta gets to join a newly freed US first, otherwise good luck heh.
As long as this doesn’t mean Putin gets a free pass to annexing former USSR states.
Donald Trump slammed President Obama Thursday on TODAY for failing to take a stronger line against President Vladimir Putin in dealing with Ukraine, saying he feared Obama would now make up for lost time with imprudent moves to "show his manhood."
The real estate mogul and reality-TV star, who has criticized Putin for sending military troops into Crimea, said Obama must now take fierce steps to prevent the situation from escalating further.
"We should definitely do sanctions and we have to show some strengths. I mean, Putin has eaten Obama's lunch, therefore our lunch, for a long period of time," Trump said. ..."

Shame: The man being sold as a great patriot so easily blithers at the stroking of a KG man who fed his ego... As pointed out by the original poster.
“Please tell me youâre joking.”
Well half-heartedly, yes! All this BS about Obola being “inept” is just that. This Half-breed knows exactlly what he’s doing, and sadly the idiots who form all too much of what passes for “the electorate” today can’t grasp the reallity. And as I said, at least Putin loves Russia.
Trump is right about Putin not respecting the African Muslim.
And, ironically, our leader has done the same thing (armed and/or supported just about every nation hostile to us)...
