"When Reid goes I hope it’s really, really painful." At the very end of the book Shogun, the long time adversary of the new military leader of Japan saw to it that his enemy lived to be a very old man in accord with an old prophecy.
That guy was not so old but his death altered the perception.
I wish that I had retained my copy in order to quote more accurately. I only read the book 3 times.
