Though presidential candidates' Twitter feeds have been littered with calls for prayers after the multiple mass shootings these past few weeks, it's anyone's guess as to whether Republicans will finally talk about gun control in substance come Tuesday's debate. The conservative candidates have been notorious for skirting the topic, choosing to back their NRA interests over rigorous debate. But with the Planned Parenthood and San Bernardino shootings happening within just days of one another, will the Republican candidates finally take aim at gun control?
Their past record of doing so has been weak.

Bingo!
“That gun has never in all its days jumped up, loaded
itself and shot anyone.” Obviously it needs more training.
This idiot Governor of Virginia has just turned more concealed carrying citizens into criminals - he recently enacted new carry laws that say NO concealed carry - permit or not - in State offices, buildings, even to people who may rent a building from the State.
This includes REST AREAS and I guess he ‘forgot’ to include the parking lots of the Government facilities.
Bad enough that it effects US but it also specifies NO carry by off duty police either.
I guess there is no sense or need for Congress or Senate at Federal or State Level if the President (in this case pResident) or Governor can just do what he wants to AND NO ONE stands up to him.
We are getting closer to sharping pitch forks, heating up the tar pots and gathering feathers.
LOL! No fly, no buy.
I’d fly it.
Wouldn’t buy it though.
The only gun control credentials I want to see from the Republican candidates is a nice grouping of shots on a target. Maybe have the next debate at a firing range. I already wear 30dB hearing protection whenever Hillary is around.
Control of WHAT guns, Melissa?
Let’s hear the answer to that question first.
Exactly... an excerpt perhaps from the “Eddie Eagle” gun safety course.
It shouldn’t have to load itself. I should already be loaded.
I hope so too- I hope at least one of them asks “what gun control law would have stopped San Bernadino? Name it and I’ll implement it first thing”
AND MAKE THEM GIVE AN ANSWER
Banning guns would work exactly as well as making drugs illegal.
Right now, Muslim control is just as important.
Need more guns.
It is my personal opinion that the correct way to respond to the words "gun control" is to punch whomever says them in the mouth. Optimally hard enough to break some teeth.
The right to defend yourself is a natural and inherent right of man, and anyone seeking to take that away or infringe upon it is an enemy, and they need to be immediately assaulted and if possible injured badly enough so as to dissuade them of doing it again.
Please do - and take your time.
Anything to keep this rocket surgeon away from the keyboard for a while.
All our liberties flow from the fact that Americans have the 2nd Amendment. Any candidate (even mine) who talks about weakening gun rights loses my support. If liberal states decide to restrict their citizens, its up to the citizens to vote people in who will restore their rights. National gun control laws are a violation of the 2nd, 4th and 10th amendments.
The Lefties need to ask the Jewish survivors of WWII how gun control worked out for them.
Or relatives of the millions that starved under Stalin
A shooter must simultaneously master trigger control, sight picture, breath control, and follow through. ....
Maybe we should move the debate to a local range. I believe I could happily vote for the candidate with the tightest, most accurate grouping.
LOL! You may not buy it but you could end up “paying” for it eventually.
Silly. Wolfie and company do the question asking. Not the wanna be’s.
And notice that their paradigm is to always side with the miscreants, to mitigate the evildoers among them, and to attempt to characterise the evildoers amongst them “rare exceptions”, but to try to punish the whole of the law-abiding tax-paying citizenry.
