After a pretty ridiculous swipe at Ted Cruz’s evangelical faith on Saturday, el Trumpo continued the attack today by calling Cruz a “maniac” for his efforts as a Senator.
And that doesn’t sit too well with the Great One, Mark Levin:
I have a feeling we’re going to be hearing more of Levin’s opinion on this on Monday on his radio show.
Trump might be ramping up the attacks because he sees polling that shows Cruz gaining on him nationally, and actually defeating him pretty badly in Iowa.
For his part, Ted Cruz just made a funny joke out of the critique from el Trumpo and posted it on Twitter.
Trump could be right!

I don’t know about that. Trump said Cruz isn’t qualified to be president. Did he say that about Carson?
Levin’s picks for President have been Fred Thompson, Michelle Bachman and Rick Santorum. His style of candiate have all been disasters and cannot win. Time for a change.
They will all address it. Can’t wait for Rush.
Show a quote where Cruz denied it. He just said he was not going to get into a discussion about what was said at a private fund raiser. I think Trump has illustrated his own issues with judgment this week by getting into a conflict with Netanyahu and calling the Saudi prince “dopey”. He can’t seem to get along with our allies.
Levin like Rush, like you, like me is one person with an opinion. Granted his opinion is far more intelligent and informed than the talking heads but still, one opinion. He really really likes Cruz and that’s fine but he’s acting like the guy he’s criticizing when he goes nuclear on anyone who takes Cruz on. First major attacks on Rubio, now Trump. He needs to let Cruz fight his own battles, he’s a big boy.
Oh who cares? I’m tired of Levin and his threats. Why doesn’t he just come out and endorse Cruz already? His show is a love letter to him every night along with the ridiculous CR ratings. Levin is growing tiresome. I’m sick of him ranting and raving every night about everything If he wants to rip Trump let him rip Trump, I won’t be listening.

Cruz supported McConnell and refused to back conservative challengers to McConnell and other RINO incumbents. That did not set well with me.
Things might have been different if Cruz and Paul had made a different choice.
Re: the maniac comment - Trump meant that Cruz went into the Senate as a fire-brand hard line conservative zealot and did not form sufficient friendships, coalitions and alliances and so was not able to get things done.
Newt, on the other hand, had a gift for forming alliances and thus got a lot of conservative legislation accomplished.
Ooooh, this one will surely bring him down.
That’s okay. Last I heard this was still a forum where Trump supporters could defend their candidate.
If you wish to make believe that’s just wrong, go ahead.
The talkshows tomorrow could be interesting in light of Trump's attack from the left.
Levin will most likely not be pleased.

With all due respect Mark Levin is not trying to win the GOP nomination in the face of the GOPe and the MSM trying to destroy him.
Trump and Cruz are competitors. One has to win and one has to lose. Its a political race.

You say “one has to win and one has to lose”. I hope you realize that there exists the possibility that Cruz and Trump would fall into the trap into which the mainstream media and GOPe RINOs are trying to trick them into. If they DO fall into this trap (which a number of their less discerning supporters want) there’s a good chance that NEITHER of them will win and BOTH of them will lose.
The REAL competition in this primary is the one between the Trump and Cruz wing of the Republican Party and the GOPe/’RAT/mainstream-media UNIPARTY. Right now, it’s heading in a direction in which Trump & Cruz will prevail over the UNIPARTY (with Trump the likely Presidential nominee I have to say if I’m honest). That result will allow conservatives to take over the Party and REMOVE the RINO apparatchiks from their power positions in the RNC and the national committees and replace them with constitutional conservatives.
I read these posts and laugh at some and cry at others. Unbelievable. Cult. Thanks for the good fight.

And yes, Cruz was rather slippery when questioned about this on MeGYNA Kelly’s show.
He might want to watch the interview first so he can see what a nothing burger it really is.
