After a pretty ridiculous swipe at Ted Cruz’s evangelical faith on Saturday, el Trumpo continued the attack today by calling Cruz a “maniac” for his efforts as a Senator.
And that doesn’t sit too well with the Great One, Mark Levin:
I have a feeling we’re going to be hearing more of Levin’s opinion on this on Monday on his radio show.
Trump might be ramping up the attacks because he sees polling that shows Cruz gaining on him nationally, and actually defeating him pretty badly in Iowa.
For his part, Ted Cruz just made a funny joke out of the critique from el Trumpo and posted it on Twitter.

Plain and simple, the reason Trump took a swipe at Cruz was because of the recent Iowa polls showing Cruz in the lead.
Saudi Arabia has long been considered an ally of the U.S.

Cruz says Trump does not have the ability to handle the “trigger” as commander-in-chief. After you calm down, ponder what he is really saying. It was a slice to the jugular. And you Cruz-bots are going crazy about “maniac”, which is minor compared to what his colleagues are calling him.
I don’t really call saying something in a private gathering that one or two people decided to take public “starting” anything.
You can say all day long that he shouldn’t have said it. But then conversely you’d have those people saying, “If he wants to win he’s going to have to take on Trump at some point.”
So all that is whatever at this point.

The Saudis hand had their backsides kissed for far too long, and I for one am pleased that The Donald has no desire to sample Saudi defication.
I also didn't hear whether Levin was happy or not about Cruz's statement on Trump's judgement and the nuclear button. Does Levin play that game?
Trump supporters are warning Levin. Levin needs to educate himself or he's going to get off our radio like a big dope.

Um, no, they probably aren’t.
When almost everyone who counts and anyone with influence, particularly influence with evangelicals and with Tea Party type conservatives in Iowa endorses Cruz, one doesn’t have to say, “those darn polls are fixed” to at least admit that Cruz taking the lead in one or more of them is entirely possible- especially combined with how much of an effort Cruz and his team has made to get his message and name out in Iowa.

So, you’re vulgar like your god, Trump. Nice.
-He teamed up with the ethanol lobby to critique Cruz.
-He made a patronizing critique of Antonin Scalia, one of the best constitutional conservative justices on the SC.
-He calls Cruz a maniac for standing up to McConnell and the GOPe in the senate.
It looks like Trump fired the guy who hands him the conservative talking points.
Levin is the best source available for opinions on SCOTUS cases and legal matters in general. But on sorting out political candidates, not so much. I still recall almost falling out of my chair as he heaped praise on Orin Hatch and endorsed him for reelection.
One of the nice things about being a consistent and solid conservatives is that I don’t have wild swings of opinion and an ever shifting horde of enemies.
Cruz for me from the git go and that’s not going to change.
