CONCORD, N.H. - Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is confident he will be on the primetime Republican debate stage Tuesday, but if he falls short, he will make an announcement this week about what comes next.

Asked Saturday by the Globe specifically if he would drop out of the race for president if he didn't qualify for the main-stage GOP debate, Paul said: "We will make an announcement, on that, on Tuesday." - Source

After spending beaucoup dinero Bush’s numbers are embarrassing.

If I were Bush I’d pay the family doc to say I had a serious, but curable, disease and drop out for health reasons, don’t ya know.

Old news.

This is the same polling firm that had Santorum polling at 6% just before he won the last Iowa caucus.

Yea Iowa is a strange state-— first it was Huckabee then Carson— and in between it has been Trump, now it is Cruz....I think Santorum won last election cycle... It wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up winning again in Iowa.. haha

Trump’s supporters have agreed to let Cruz be Trump’s Vice President. Very generous.

Donald warned us about the Des Moines Register this morning:

Is he psychic? Did he have advance warning? It will be interesting to see the polls over the next week.

This is the Des Moines Register newspaper retaliating for what Trump said about them and getting massive applause.

Seeing is believing. He called them HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, and very DISHONEST.the crowd totally agreed

Any one caring to hear exactly what Trump said that obviously pissed the Des Moines Register off to no limit.. here it is.

Move the video slider to 1:03:10 in and you will see exactly what he says and the HUGE crowd response to it.

Two days later their poll shows Trump going from 13 points up to Cruz suddenly jumping 21 points?... I don't think so..

The real nightmare is that Trump doesn’t get the nomination, runs as an independent, splits the right, and Hillary gets elected.

If that happens, say, “Bye Bye America.”

If Trump wins IA it’s over nomination wise. If Cruz wins who knows. I admire btw guys. I think Trump is far more capable of winning blue dogs (lol) etc. Cruz is probably too religious for a lot of ppl. But hey, spoil of riches for us.

None of the polls we are seeing are worth the media on which they are displayed. This poll in particular should immediately be labeled as an outlier because it so contradicts ALL other polls.

There can be no reason for this sudden change in Trumps popularity. Some will point to his statement to ban Muslims but we see polls which support his idea Now I know I said polls cannot be trusted but still it doesn’t mean ALL are wrong. What is important is to consider the aggregate of the polling. When this us done this latest Iowa poll, paid for by Bloomberg who is a rabid Trump hater gets put in a better perspective.

Full disclosure. I Like trump AND Cruz and would be satisfied with either as our nominee.

“Cruz’s ascension represents the largest spike for one candidate between Des Moines Register polls in at least the last five presidential elections.”

This is enough to make the poll results suspect, imo.

Another thought. Because there is such strong evidence Americans have turned anti establishment and want an outsider this time the Left would like to remove the one outsider who seems to have a chance. If successful they can paint Cruz as simply another “inside the beltway” pol (just like Clinton).

Personally I believe this is nothing but an attempt to discourage Trump voters and play on the natural desire for folks to be on the winning side which according to this poll is now Cruz. The fact stories began appearing a few days ago about the accuracy and grand history of this particular pollster are to me nothing more than the laying of the groundwork to give this pollster credibility before the results were released.

These are strictly my opinions and I have to believe the candidates do their own polling as well. None of them to date have mentioned this so for now all we have is this one outlier poll (relative to all other polling) and we will simply have to wait and see.
