It is not cheating and more power to him. But don’t complain when Trump “attacks” Cruz. It’s part of the game, a clash was inevitable, and these are big boys playing to win.
I thought she was an independent pollster.
No worries eh?
Whew boy! This is the kind of trouble that having a SuperPAC can get you.
Every 4 years FReepers start screaming for a brokered convention.
If it isn’t cheating when we want one it isn’t cheating when we don’t.
Astonishing.
If that is the Cruz position (and I dont know 100% for certain), then if he’s in the same spot, I’m not shedding any tears if it happens to him.
Don’t brag about “standing up to the GOPe” and then say
“yeah, they can cheat” just because you think it might benefit you.
The latest BS.
Trump vs Cruz grudgematch.
Laughable.

Calling her a "pollster" is FRAUD/A LIE; she's on the Cruz team.
Not a good sign.
I have no respect for, nor would I vote for, a opportunist who actually thought they could win after a brokered convention.
I do not care about the past. I would shun them.
Now we have seen the opportunist TPP/amnesty flipflopping cruz’s real colors. Especially with his donor comments.
At least Carson has his honesty. Cruz is a pawn (maybe a useful idiot if he thinks they’ll actually put him on the ticket), of his establishment donors, who will back an establishment candidate that’s ‘acceptable’.
I have been attacking the “plurality” principle for nominations since it became clear how it was working for Romney.
It makes zero sense to declare a guy with 29% the “winner” if 71% are unalterably opposed to him.
MAYBE in a final election (although I prefer runoffs to get to 51%), but in a nomination contest with multiple points of view and multiple candidates contending, if you get 29% of the votes you should get 29% of the delegates, more or less, and if after that process nobody has 50% + 1 (although I would go back to the 67% rule in a second), then let the convention work it out.
The delegates aren’t just there for the hookers, at least in theory.
Don’t worry Ted you won’t have make any “agonizing” decisions during the convention. Rest easy fella.
"Both of them I like and respect," said Mr. Cruz, according to an audio recording of his comments provided by one attendee. "I don't believe either one of them is going to be our president."
But he added, "You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?"
He went on: "Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."
Is there an inference? Yes. Does Cruz says either Carson or Trump lacks the judgement to be president? No.
Someone educate me.
Isn’t it premature to talk about a brokered convention, and what would happen at such a convention?
Shouldn’t we let the primary and caucus process play out, and see if a nominee emerges from the process, before we all get bent out of shape about a convention which goes beyond the 1st ballot????
What am I missing??? Don’t they already have rules and bylaws and such, about how to proceed, if nobody gets 50%+1 on the first ballot of the convention????
What are these people smoking? Total GOP suicide to even be talking about it.
I’ll bet the freeloading, low information DemocRAT voters are glad that they don’t have to choose who they want as their nominee. They don’t get a choice. They’re stuck with Slick Willie’s wife. Not having to decide saves the few remaining brain cells that they have left.
In the absence of a required majority vote, there should be no problem with candidates uniting against the top vote-getter. That’s why a majority vote is chosen as the threshold in the first place. Happens all the time at nominating conventions.
Americans have become so used to not participating at the state and local levels that normal and essential processes can be called cheating with a straight face.
If Trump gets the required number of delegates on the first convention vote, he will definitely be the candidate. If he doesn't get enough delegate votes, it will be a brokered convention. States are different in how they hold their delegates for a candidate. Some have a rule, after the first vote, if no candidate has the required number of votes, the delegates may change their vote. Some states keep their delegates true to the candidate on very vote and it varies between states.
