Karl Rove, who served as an adviser to former President George W. Bush, warned Republicans that nominating Donald Trump could be a death wish for the party.
In a Wall Street Journal column published Friday, Rove acknowledged Trump's consistently strong standing among Republicans in the polls, and the impressively high percentage of backers -- 46 percent, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll -- who say they won't stray from Trump before the primaries.
Hitting Trump for his antics -- citing the Republican presidential candidate's beef with Fox News host Megyn Kelly and insults of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for being captured in Vietnam -- Rove lamented that there's seemingly no line Trump can cross to lose the backing of his loyal supporters, who "eat up stuff like that."
But in a matchup against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the general election, Rove wrote, Trump would get "creamed." He called Trump a "dream candidate" for the Democratic Party.
"Although Mr. Trump's antics may not drive away his current supporters, they make him unlikely to win the White House," he wrote.

I can only imagine Trump and hillary in a debate. The questions Trump has to ask that NO ONE will dare ask hillary. Finally, someone who would hold her feet to the fire! I would like to see that one. She has slid by for so long.. and I don’t think Trump would allow a moderator to chime in and help her like Romney did with Candy.
Or even more. The point remains--lots of bucks for no bang.
Wasn’t Rove the guy who said Trump was going to flame out - like months ago? Then Rove repeated that line every time Trump said something that offended elites.

In some ways, hitlery is a clone of what would be the “evolved” trump. Only, not as smart, less convincing, encumbered by scandal, and possibly under indictment, so, not as dangerous.
If Karl Rove believes Donald Trump would “get creamed” by Hillary Clinton? My question to him would be: Why?

IIRC his intent was to expose lies about the Clintons but discovered that they weren't all lies and truth was worse than some of the lies. He was not invited on any media. I read the book.

How would Karl Rove know? Any election he’s backed in recent years has ended in defeat for his candidate.

Is this the same Karl Rove who insisted Mitt Romney would win. Just the mention of his name makes me sick.
