They want to know where every gun is so that when they grab them they can easily find them. That is their thinking.
I am against this ridiculous action as it would do nothing to stop the problem they’re trying to stop and only infringes on law abiding citizen’s rights, however gun owners are fooling themselves if they think the govt couldn’t find the guns fairly quickly now just by the amount of photos and social media posts on gun related pages, Internet traffic that is monitored, credit card purchases of ammo and firearms, and, yes, let’s no forget how many “friends and family” know about a person’s guns and ammo stash. Think “see something, say something” is just a fancy slogan? Between all the above and the incessant nanny state telling children in schools guns = bad, I don’t think it would take too much detective work to figure out where it all is.
Finding them may be easier than grabbing them.
Some unfortunately would be hundreds of feet down a lake or ocean due to terrible boating accidents while taking guns to be turned in.
Guns? What guns....?
