Serving police officers today backed Donald Trump's claim that some Muslim communities in the UK are no-go areas because of extremism.
Several Met officers have said the 'Islamification' of some parts of the capital requires 'extra vigilance' and they can't wear uniforms for safety reasons - despite Scotland Yard claiming the tycoon 'couldn't be more wrong'.
Home Secretary Theresa May tonight rejected Mr Trump's claims, insisting: 'The police in London are not afraid to go out and police the streets.'
The US presidential contender caused worldwide consternation yesterday after a string of incendiary remarks about Muslims, including in Britain, and said: 'We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that police are afraid for their own lives.'
But one serving officer said today Trump had 'pointed out something plainly obvious, something which I think we aren't as a nation willing to own up to'.
Another policeman said that he and other colleagues fear being terror targets and spoke of the 'dire warning' from bosses not to wear a uniform 'even in my own car'.

Donald Trumps best quality...he LISTENS. He listened to all of us on immigration and trade. He listens to the people.
Evidently the ONLY one in politics today, other than Jeff Sessions, willing to put his butt on the line to tell us the truth.
He LISTENS...and evidently he listened in 2004, during the debates of the presidential race when Bob Shieffer of CBS stated that the most questions he got from the PUBLIC to ask the candidates was about.... WAIT FOR IT...
IMMIGRATION!
2004!
THAT is how long we have all been ignored, until Donald Trump!
SCHIEFFER - 2004 prez debate: Letâs go to a new question, Mr. President. ¨I got more e-mail this week on this question than any other question. And it is about immigration.
If you really want to see what LYING PUKES both Bush and Kerry are, take a look at their answers in that debate to the ONE immigration question!

Good point AuntB. You’re so right. We’ve been trying to get something done about illegal immigration since 1995.
In 1996 Buchanan was called the next Hitler for addressing it.
Now Trump is.
Well, those days are over. We the people have just taken control. Trump it is.
Heck....even small cities have area’s that you better have your head on a swivel.
Ooga booga
My youngest daughter lived in Oakland for a few years, in the upscale part of the hills near Piedmont district. Very upscale restaurants, stores and entertainment a block or two away. Unfortunately she had to commute the Oakland streets through ghetto areas to reach her job in Emeryville. People were getting carjacked and shot in drive-bys on those same roads she commuted on (Martin Luther King Blvd, need I say more?). Glad she moved away. When I worked with SF cops, the ghetto I spoke of was Hunters Point. Cops had a SWAT facility there full of tactical gear; I was very impressed seeing all the tactical equipment and vehicles in warehouses there. Too bad they had to go through the slums to reach it. Recently a lot of Asians are moving in, displacing blacks, and the area is improving.
Good to see you back. Too bad Terry Anderson and George aren’t here to witness this.
Yep.
Asians = Chinese in that neck of the woods. There USED to be an urban myth that said that Chinese wouldn’t move into black parts of town. UNTRUE.
So very interesting, thank you for sharing and giving me some insight. I appreciate you taking the time to explain.
Thank you, that was what I was curious about!
There are other areas, in England, but some are just a housing project and others are actual neighborhoods, but the one I mentioned is one I am certain of and one which everyone has heard about.
This would be a great way to test if a journalist truly believes in the bs he or she may be pushing about how tolerant muslims are.
However, one pitfall for us with this tactic is how the muslims and these journalists may conspire against us by filming fake scenes of muslim tolerance towards cops. We all know how dishonest and agenda-driven journalists and taqqiyah muslims are.
For the most part, yes. But there are also many Filipinos, some Koreans and Samoans/Islanders, and people from India. Lots of towns on the peninsula are being changed by an influx of techs from India. They're giving competition to the Chinese in terms of wealth; paying cash for homes. I've seen the number of blacks in SF go from about 15 percent several decades ago to about 6 percent now; they're leaving for cheaper towns away from the inner cities. Their leaving is contributing to improved neighborhoods with less crime. Oakland trails SF, but Asians are taking over there as well (Oakland still needs time to change). Anyway, still some pockets of bad areas in any town, but shrinking around here.
Great point, Aunt B, that Trump listens. We’ve seen him on The Apprentice for years, listening, asking questions, observing patterns of behavior, then making a decision which he acted upon without hesitation. BTW, haven’t seen you in a long time, maybe because I haven’t been raeding the news much until recently. Hope you are well,
T.W.
” Too bad Terry Anderson and George arenât here to witness this.”
Indeed, Pelham. Always good to see you!
Hi TW! I was bad and delegated to the dust bin for a while. I’ll try to be good and see if I can hang around for a bit.;<)
Yes, we lost Terry a few years ago. He was in Az in 105 degree weather, fighting the invasion a few days before he passed of pancreatic cancer.

Things here are like everywhere....you look around and think you’re in Mexico or the Middle East.
So sorry to hear that Terry Anderson passed away. After George went off the air, I lost touch with his regular guests. Down here, I’m surrounding by a middle class of immigrants from everywhere but those you mentioned. America that we grew up in is not even part of the education for these immigrant’s children. That bothers me most.
