Third through 6th are separated by three percentage points. What is the margin of error?

Basically, third place is up for grabs. First and second are clear right now.

Gimme a break.

People aren’t buying that Cruz can win the general which of course he can’t.

[[which I can’t imagine would be natural Cruz country.]]

It’s not- NH has always been ‘conservative’ but by conservative, they of course mean they support the most liberal candidates they can usually-

[[We have had five years of people “introducing a bill” or “filing a motion” or mumbo jumbo that never seems to actually stop Obama and his radical minions.]]

Except that it shows they will continue filing bills as president that are unpopular, and will likely get them passed via executive order now that they have the power to do so- perhaps-

Oh you silly fools.

Ted Cruz leads in the only poll that counts, that Iowa poll from several days go.

He’s in charge!

You can take that to the bank, where they’ll gladly give you a tissue for it.

Finally, someone has said what I’ve been saying privately about Ted Cruz and one or two other good guys. They haven’t been able to actually DO anything.

New Hampshire isn’t Cruz’s state it’s never friendly to social conservatives. It’s pretty much Rino central.

I am trying to explain to you how people have come to see “introducing a bill” that goes nowhere as just “part of the DC game.”

It’s more than just ‘introducing’.

Cruz’s introducing such a bill is a good, patriotic move on his part that simply backfires because it requires others to support it to make it go anywhere.

Cruz’s lack of leadership skills are put on display when he can only get 3 or 4 other Senators on board.

Cruz would be better off if he simply announced “When I am President I will....................

Which brings me to another point, it takes a bit of wisdom to recognize and capitalize on what I just said. The fact that he doesn’t draws attention to the wisdom question.

For sake of discussion, let’s accept your assertion as fact.

Why was no one talking about it?

And why are they talking about it today?

And, for Pete’s sake, why all the attacks on Trump, and no one else?

Thanks, but I don’t need you to explain to me how “introducing a bill” can be part of the DC game. I need you to explain to me how Trump’s “release of a statement” is somehow more substantial. And while you’re at it, please explain to me what concrete steps beyond “introducing a bill” Cruz should be pursuing while still holding the office of Senator.

I’ve seen several anti Cruz articles today. This poll is only N.H. Trump has been both attacked and defended. Once again, Trump has gotten the attention he craves.

I’m not sure he can. All I can do is try to share with you the PERCEPTION that is out here in mid America that this is all “part of the game,” even for someone as committed as Cruz. As for Trump’s statement, it obviously can’t be any more impotent, and possibly can amount to a great deal more.

I never lie. You might not like the comment or inconvenient fact, but don’t embarrass yourself by dismissing it as a lie.

Yes, I have pointed out the fact that for whatever reason, Cruz seems to attract no more than 2-3 other senators---even on what should be no-brainer bills. Why? As one (yes, GOPe) official said to me, "At some point you have to actually lead and form coalitions." Now, I have a bunch of ideas on how a senator might do that, but I do think it's possible.

Think "Charlie Wilson's War" and how one congressman basically (with Reagan's help) got Stingers in the hands of the Afgans fighting the Russkies.

Just my opinion, NOT bashing Cruz, but I think 1) he is personally unpopular (don't know why); 2) I think he doesn't really try to get coalitions---maybe because he figures it's a losing cause, maybe because the price is too steep.

The price, of course, is a vote on something else. If you are too "pure" to horsetrade, that's fine, but you have to realize it means you won't get any support for your stuff. (Remember "Charlie Wilson's War?" He was from a district in TX that had everything, so he never had to ask for anything. That meant that everyone in the House "owed" him a bunch of votes).
