A Texas imam who has challenged American Muslims to support their home nation said he agrees with Donald Trump's call for a temporary ban on new Muslims entering the United States.
Imam Nidal Alsayyed of Beaumont, Texas, said the government should go even further than Trump's proposal and establish a ban on accepting Syrian refugees of any religion. He said that actions are necessary "when it comes to peace and safety."
"We American Muslims need to be sincere in our religion and to the country we are living in. Peace comes before religion."
Alsayyed elaborated on his comments via Facebook.
"I only said what I believe is right. Trump is not against American Muslims; He is against any new Muslim immigrants (refugees and non-refugees)! There is a big difference here!" he wrote.
"I believe there is a great confusion and lack of understating nationally and among Muslim themselves for what Mr. Trump is calling for. Refugees in general have no clear identity or belief. They are seeking shelter and opportunity; but America cannot take this risk NOW!" he said.
Alsayyed said banning Syrian refugees of all religions might prove eye-opening.
"My advice to Trump to stop differentiating among Christian vs. Muslim refugees; only because he may get surprised to see all refugees claiming to be Christians!" he wrote.

Yes! Halt all immigration until we have a system that works and isn’t politically tainted.
Then, make them eat a ham sandwich!

Trump is pretty good at listening to advice that makes sense. This could result in an adjustment to his proposal.
Trump and Cruz may end up converging on an answer, one that kicks in sooner rather than later, yet has some long term elements in it.
I think folks who are knowledgeable about these issues should try to get Trump’s ear. This sounds like one of the “nicer” Muslims but at best he is not going to be able to advise on how you tell a Muslim claiming to be a Christian, from a Christian. You’d need to ask Christians about that.

Muslims buy into this stuff at various levels. In principle the evil stuff is there ready to be pulled into the belief. In practice it often doesn’t happen. A lot of this has to do with the way the real God restrains the real devil.
We should make hay while the spiritual sun shines. And don’t let the moon fool us into thinking it’s the sun, though it can light up a harvest.
Trump could very easily stop all the criticism by right now changing what he said to “We need to stop ASLL people from foreign countries who are hostile towards us, and which preach jihad. We can Not afford to take the risk right now, because we have seen how ineffective our government is in vetting refugees because our leader’s insistence on soft peddling this problem”
Turn this from ‘Ban Muslims” to “Ban ANYONE from Terrorist nations, and all nations In the middle east until we figure out what the hell is going on”

No doubt there are Muslims that feel this way, problem is, how to tell the honest ones from the ones that want to destroy this country.
One thing that ultimately can’t be faked about Christianity is the love. Don’t ask the candidate what he hates. Ask what he loves. If worshiping the Lord is high on that list, for example, this probably isn’t the dutiful Muslim. Music is verboten in Islamic worship and big in Christian worship... will he sing a few bars of a song to the Lord (however amateurishly)? It shouldn’t be hard to tell the love based witness from the hate based fakes.
If you want to know what they really think about anything, just ask, 'what would Mohammed do?'

There is an uncomfortable degree of overlap.
There might be those who don’t really buy the faith, or have come up with their own system of thought that is more innocuous. More power to them.
But the mutual chip on the shoulder is still felt by many.
There’s a limit to how far even Mohammed (or a devil) could go. A Christian will soon learn that Christ is worthy above all else.

That’s what I’ve been saying. You cannot determine religion by any outward appearance—especially if one is attempting to conceal his true beliefs. We’ll have to stop all immigration in order to be safe.
Yesterday, I suggested Trump institute a Miss Immigrant contest complete with evening gown and swimsuit competition.
Add the ham or bacon sandwich test would be a nice add.
