Anecdotal Reactions to Trump sitting in a waiting room with FOX News

Posted on 12/08/2015 6:04:11 PM PST by springwater13

I was at the car dealership for a couple hours in the waiting room with a bunch of people forced to watch FOX News. It was a really bizarre scene with Shepard Smith prancing around the set outraged about Trump while talking about how great and peaceful Muslims were. We saw Paul Ryan condemn Trump and then a bizarre segway into the horrors of the San Bernardino, ISIS, the money trail, whether the mom was a co conspirator.

It was a surreal scene. Not one person in the waiting was "offended" by Trump's statements. A few people were asking what the big deal was? Why do we have to let them in? Maybe it is not constitutional but something has to be done. One older lady said I don't care for Trump's personality but he's the only one with the stones to talk about the real problem here.

What is outrage for the media is common sense for REAL people. Don't believe the faux media outrage. Trump's numbers are going to go UP.

So, very soon, Obeyme’s gonna release the videos so the American public can watch the horrible final moments of those people who were sacrificed on the altar of PC?

The meme now is that Trump is Hitler and Muslims are his jews.

The Mohammedans were major supporters of Al-Adolph, and still devour Mein Kampf.

There’s absolutely nothing unconstitutional on banning the migration of persons of any religion.

0bama is sending back Christians to Syria and Iraqi because their official governments aren’t going after them (only ISIS, which is not a recognized government). We are getting so many Muslims because the Syrian government is fighting the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS, so that legitimizes bringing in Muslim Brotherhood (and ISIS) families.

3. Our president has no idea what the hell he’s doing.

I beg to differ. What does he do that indicates he is not doing absolutely everything he can to break the US and make is totally Islamic? While getting ISIS to kill Christians pell mell, even in this country, without condemnation or effectively bombing them off the face of the erf?

I doubt the idiots at the New Yawker realize they probably helped sell an additional 10,000 or so gun with that cover.

Sounds like he's the anti-Obama. Obama got a lot of Republicans, including William F. Buckley's dingbat son, to support him, and a lot of others to say nice things about him, even though it was documented that he was a marxist with extreme anti-American views, and had never actually done anything in his entire life. People projected things into him that weren't there. If Trump can tap into a dissatisfaction that many on the left feel towards the mainstream of their party, and gets them to vote his way on an anti-establishment wave, so be it. I think he can get a lot of blacks, hispanics and blue collar whites to vote Republican for the first time since Reagan. People like him.

So, I don't view it as a negative that a Sanders voter might vote for Trump. It's not Trump's fault that the guy is confused.

Waiting at the car dealership while waiting for my car to get fixed are some of my happiest memories. Currently I have this dealer in Connecticut that has private stalls for people wanting to get business done. I plug in my Macbook laptop, connect to the internal wi-fi, then my company's VPN and I'm officing like nobodies business, crunching numbers in Excel and running Business Warehouse in SAP. They got the daytime TV blaring in the common area where people drink awful coffee and look bored but I plug in my Beats headphones and crank up Explosions In The Sky or Buffalo Tom.

I'm glad that Trump was faring well in the dealership today. During my travels, I was sitting at the bar at a Texas Roadhouse in Long Island eating a big old steak with lots of free peanuts (you can toss the shells to the floor!) and a baked potato loaded with butter. A couple of people next to me - on Long Island! - were saying how they are voting for Trump no matter what.

But Long Island, I only come here on business, but what traffic! After dinner, I swing by the Walt Whitman mall in Melville to get some gift card for Christmas and what a bottleneck on that Route 110 heading to Huntington. Crazy, crazy stuff.

But I had my Apple products to keep me sane. My iPod Touch was cranking some Christmas Tunes in the car and at the Texas Roadhouse in Deer Park, I had my trusty iPad and was reading all the stuff on Free Republic AT THE BAR with hotspot provided by my iPhone. All in all not a bad night and I got steak, beer and a baked potato.

They love to tell us that Trump's supporters largely do NOT have a college education. Yes, we haven't been propagandized into believing nonsense by leftist professors.

Two Bachelors and one Masters Degree here. The lying, liberal, lamestream media is full of shit.

The gun stores the New Yorker nebbishes frequent must be better stocked than the ones around here: our gun stores always seem to be out of hand grenades exactly when I most need a couple dozen.

My elderly mother doesnt like Trump personally but is looking forward to voting for him. A lot of people are saying this, which means people are are tired of the horse race beauty contests.

I've often told others that I would rather work for an a**hole boss, than a weak buffoon. At least with the former, someone is in charge. With the latter, the place falls apart. I can respect someone I otherwise despise, if they get things done.
