He may be the Democrats' second choice in the polls, but Bernie Sanders has topped Hillary Clinton as the people's choice in Time magazine's annual Person of the Year vote.
In the poll that closed Sunday at midnight, the Vermont senator and socialist finished in first place with 10.2 percent of the vote. Among those on the list include Malala Yousafzai, the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, who got 5.2 percent, Pope Francis (3.7 percent) and President Obama (3.5 percent).
Former Secretary of State and current Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton picked up just 1.4 percent, while Republican nominee leader Donald Trump garnered 1.7 percent.

I have no doubt Shrillary will be the Democratic nominee but I think we all know there is sizable discontent within the party for her. Would not be a shock if Bernie wins or gets very close in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Poor Barack is so obsolete he no longer polls well even on this popularity contest, and he lost “Woman of the Year” to Bruce Jenner. That double defeat must have him whimpering into his pillow.

Bernie should be proud. But he still has a way to go to break the socialist record here. Stalin was Man of the year twice.

If we are real lucky, this will be Time Magazines last Person of the Year as they go out of business. Well, one can hope.

You may want to be concerned that Hillary may pick him as her running mate. With the snot-nosed college socialist vote, that might clinch it for her. That might also clinch my decision to expatriate.

I suppose we should all be grateful that a Kardashian did not win.
It usually goes to the person that TIME thinks will sell out the USA the most.
Decades ago under Henry Luce’s leadership, Time was a respectable center-right news magazine. Now it’s just another failing leftist rag. Like the Nobel Peace Prize, its POY selection is just another annual joke.
That said, the knotheads who run the tree-killing pub likely will pick Putin or ISIS for 2015.
It has worked everytime before.
