“Heaven forbid that she might propose something to make American companies more competitive “

Don’t worry. She won’t. Any money raised like would go to a government program designed to funnel money to her favored crony capitalists, just like the Obama stimulus did.

Besides, tax money doesn’t create jobs, it destroys jobs by removing capital from private industry. Only private industry can create jobs.

The only way government can “create” jobs is to get out of the way. At this point, the only thing government can do to REALLY help create jobs is to reduce taxes and the cost-burdens of employing people and reduce regulations in general.

‘’boost manufacturing jobs’’?

I'm reminded of the old Soviet Union. The state would manufacture farm equipment. The farm equipment would be shipped to the other side of the country. There it would be disassembled. Then the parts would be shipped back to the original manufacturer and built again. The process was a loop with no consumer involved.

Companies can easily buy an exemption by donating a small fortune to the Clintons.

If you want to see where this ends up, read the public files from the Swedish tax court from the late 1970s through the mid 1990s — the period after Sweden enacted an exit tax to penalize businesses (and rich people) for fleeing from Sweden’s 90% tax rates. The exit tax didn’t stop businesses and millionaires from fleeing Sweden. It just made the exit really, really ugly and caused the rich to spend absolute fortunes on tax planning to actually generate their income outside of Sweden through irrevocable trusts and offshore companies.

So, companies are up and leaving the US because of the highest corporate tax in the world, and Clinton’s solution is — yet MORE taxes??? What a moron.

pudloian economics - you’d spend $50 to eliminate a $100 tax burden, but not a $40 one. to collect more you gotta reduce the tax burden to the $40 else you get zero. if that means cutting spending, that’s what ya gotta do...

These scumbags in government think they own and control everything and everybody.

They need their greedy, money-grubbing little dough hooks slapped--or broken!
