My call is Trump and either Cruz or Rubio as VP.....but who the hell really knows LOL!
Rubamnesty? No way!
Sorry, hit send too soon - but agree with you on Trump!
I would be shocked if Trump picked an establishment pol for a running mate. Cruz, maybe, because he’s not liked by the establishment. But look for Trump to think out of the box and surprise us with his choice.
Besides, I like Governor Abbott, but we Texans just got him in office. He has a lot of work to do here fixing previous GOP governors' efforts at "getting along."
Cruz for Attorney General.
Carson for Surgeon General
Rubio for manager of a Cuban restaurant in Bradenton.
FWIW, I’m wondering about the wannabbees who haven’t insulted Trump, or at the very least have stopped that tactic.
‘But look for Trump to think out of the box and surprise us with his choice.’
Agree; that is Trump’s MO.

Why are people getting excited over possible V.P. picks? It’s a big nothing job.
Tie breaker in the senate and that’s about it. I could do it, that tells me that it isn’t much of a job.
I think Trump is smarter than to go moderate on VP. But sometimes these candidates think they have to in order to win, and sometimes they have to.
Bush was not Reagan’s choice but he needed Texas.
I'm pretty sure there are more than a few angling for the position.
Trumps last several rallies have been more about Obama and Hillary so I think he is now looking past the nomination to the general election.
From the link:
At this point in the past two elections, the GOP candidate who led in the polls didn't win in either Iowa or New Hampshire, and failed to get the party's nomination, notes Alfred Tuchfarber, a professor emeritus of political science at the University of Cincinnati.
Two months before the 2008 Iowa caucuses, Rudy Giuliani led the GOP pack with 29.2% support in the polls. Fred Thompson was in second at 16%. But Mike Huckabee â who was polling at 7.2% at this point in the 2008 race â won Iowa, and John McCain took New Hampshire and went on to win the nomination.
In 2012, Herman Cain was at the top of the GOP poll rankings at 26%, but dropped out before Iowa, which ended up going to Rick Santorum, who had 1.7% support in the polls at this point in the race.

If Trump wins the nomination he would be smart to select NM governor Susana Martinez as his running mate. She’s hispanic, comes from a strong pro-law enforcement family, she speaks fluent Spanish, and to top it off she used to be a democrat! As a matter of fact, this would be a brilliant move for Trump or Cruz. Especially for Trump because this would show democrats how much Trump loves hispanics!
Rubio? Good grief, if he’s the nominee, I am staying home or voting for Hillary. If we can’t get someone in there to reverse things, let’s get the civil war started and over with.

I don't think the nice man was pleased with my extremely low opinion of Marco Rubio. LOL
