President Obama addresses the nation on the San Bernardino mass shooting, in which 14 people were killed and 21 others injured, and the threat of terrorism now that the FBI considers the gun attack "an act of terrorism."
Well said and agree.
....From Oval office in Michelle's "New" White House....
Less the 1/2 Hour later the couple stroll down the aisle in full party regalia to Honor 'Hollywood' for their service....
.....Obama announces his arrival.... I am Here Folks!
..."Let the Celebration Begin!....
He's desperate for gun control.. Scary.
A scenario like that would not surprise me in the least.
Thanks for that link. It references both hugh and series but not having to take a shower.
One of the links there from August 27, 2002 did refer to the shower comment:
“In a hurry to get to the shower?...”
so it must be in a thread earlier than that.
Question...
So, people on the no-fly list can buy guns....cited as a problem by Obama - that means that those people are in America - why are they still here if they are on the no-fly list?
Seems like they should be deported or put in jail.
“Very odd framing of the whole thing. In front of podium which is in front of his desk. The symbolism of the desk has always conveyed an aura of presidential power (I’m in charge)
Really curious as to why he chose to put the podium in front of it. Love to know the psychology behind that decision.”
I am told by someone in DC who would know, don’t ask, that he was not in the White House because there are Christmas decorations all over and he did not want that to show on TV. Ugh!!
“I think Obama was actually at the Lincoln Center where he was going to attend a party after the speech.
I believe the podium was there, but they inserted a photo of the Oval office as the backdrop.”
For your info see #849.
Geez, that would not surprise me at all.
He is such a schmuck.
I mentioned early in the thread that I did not think it was in the Oval Office. I figured green screen for the background.
Earlier than 2002 and you begin approaching the dawn of FR history!
I remember tuning in to hear obama's statement....and he gave a cheery "shout out"--his words!-- to some Indian group. I thought the TV network must have accidentally started running an old clip from some other press conference. But no...he suddenly turned somber and started talking about the shootings. I was DISGUSTED! Our schools had been on lock down for hours because we'd been warned of a possible second shooter heading our way (I was only able to go home at my usual time because I'd been in a meeting in an administrative building, rather than on campus), kids couldn't reach their parents, parents couldn't get off post to pick up their kids for many hours, people were injured and DEAD, for crying out loud...and there was obozo yukking it up and giving shout outs. What a horrendous slap in the face to the victims, to Ft. Hood and to the American people. I've never, EVER felt as much contempt for that man as I did in that one moment.
My blood STILL boils thinking about it right now.
Yes,...Obama certainly showed his lack of real concern.....I honestly don’t think he cares for anything more than his political agenda, even when it slaps him in the face he appears to just blow it off and takes no responsibility for his failures whatsoever.
I forgot about that “shout out”, but you mentioning it brought it back.....that was pretty dang low....he just has no understanding of the American public mood and in fact doesn’t want to....
I can’t imagine being in the Fort Hood event itself....it was plenty disturbing and frightening seeing the developments on the news. I was beyond angry for this happened among our Military...who I love and respect more than any other Americans, and our police as well.......and yet they had no guns within reach to stop this beast!
It’s said you cannot think of anything Obama speaks of without thinking he’s absolutely delusional.....I agree!
