The top officer of the Marine Corps sent an unequivocal message to troops: It's time to get behind the mandate to integrate women into combat units.
Gen. Robert Neller released a sternly worded video late Friday, a day after Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced that all military jobs -- including infantry and special forces positions -- would be open to female troops by the start of next year.
The Marine Corps was the only service to request that some fields remain closed to women, citing a yearlong co-ed infantry experiment that found gender-mixed units underperformed all-male ones.
Despite that, Neller made clear that the Marines were going to lose no time in conforming to the new mandate.

One of the main septic tanks needing pumping is the State Dept.
Having done my 20yrs, 7 in 2nd Ranger Bn, and 13 in Special Forces, this will not end well. Stupid pc assclowns are gonna get our young men killed...and I have a vested interest because both my sons are currently serving.
LOL you asked for it, didn’t ya! The smartest make the best choices and always aim for the best for themselves, thus just wanting to be a Marine is the best decision. No offense to any other branch. Had a bro in each of Army, Navy, Air Force, but advised that if son was to join, get the best training.
Hope those forced out will be willing to go back in.

He feels the same.
W. Lewis Amselem, long time US Foreign Service Officer; now retired; served all over the world and under all sorts of conditions. Convinced the State Department needs to be drastically slashed and reformed so that it will no longer pose a threat to the national interests of the United States.

The liberal cult has jumped the shark of Nature and Nature’s God.
“Gen. Robert Neller”?
or obammy butt boy?
YOur social experiment bull shit is going to get good men killed there General Butthead.
The same cannot be said of the hundreds -- yes hundreds -- of navy enlisted I've known over the years, and been related to many. Are there highly intelligent people in the Navy? You had better believe it, but if you 12 typical Marines against 12 typical Navy enlisted, I know which group would be the most likely to be the smartest bunch of men. Apparently, you do not.
So what I learned on this thread is that you talk out your ass. :^)
I’ve noticed that females in the workplace can harbor quite a lot of resentment. They resent me but I don’t know why. I’m naturally pretty quiet but have tried to be friendly and part of the group only to get shot down (misconstruing a neutral off hand comment purposely to start an argument, or shut me up.) I follow up and show interest about something they’ve mentioned, an upcoming wedding, health issue whatever but on the other hand get ignored when I reciprocate and share something about myself. My mom gets rushed to hospital and I have to call in to work? Nobody asks if she’s OK the next day. I used to say hello when I walked in but since nobody responds except the manager himself I only greet him now. Seriously, the women can talk about their home life and personal stuff they deal with, kids, family etc. but one time when I had shared a couple things about my family I got told “Why you be telling me this stuff, it makes your family sound crazy.” It was a weird response because it had nothing to do with anything “crazy.” It was just about a long lost love that my elderly but long time married Aunt asked us to track down on the internet and before that how my parents struggle with my 40 yr. old half brother sponging off them with no job in sight.
Sorry...yeah I should probably just talk to a counselor about this issue lol. For the life of me I just can’t figure people out.
I thank God that I was in the Military years before Political Correctness ruled the day.
Now, Political Correctness will ensure the death of many men who were forced to drag along a weaker ( both emotionally and physically ) burden with them as they fought the enemy.
That’s the ticked to defeat our troops...tie a ball and chain around their ankles and let them run.
I think a lot of them resent having to work, and the resent the fact that the second income doesn’t provide a millionaire’s lifestyle.
Odd how they respond to you sharing things that they routinely share at work; not sure why you get that response. I find that I can only relate to Americans over 60 and foreigners; they don’t take three days off when a pet dies, and don’t care for gossip.
Some years ago, I was working at a company, and asked what did I need to do to get a promotion. My manager leveled with me that the company had too many white male managers, and no further promotions for such would occur until they had more female managers.
I thereupon decided that working hard enough to get promoted did not make sense, and shifted to working the minimum. What didn't get resolved by 5pm, didn't get resolved that day.
Sometime after that, I left for a better paying job.

The irony! The irony!
The women officers want to be able to be in "combat arms" MOS, in order to be eligible for promotion to senior ranks.
They do not necessarily want that to happen when they are just 2nd Lt's and might actually have to command a platoon in real combat.
The Commandant always has a choice. He has the choice of resigning, rather than comply with orders he knows will get his Marines killed. He chose his career.
Several us us learned that a long time ago. Welcome to the club. I generally pass over the idiocy; but messing with the Marines touched a nerve.
If you are a male who they are not attracted to, women at work will resent your thinking that you have the right to chat with them (just like girls in high school did).
If you are an attractive woman, women at work will resent the competition.
