I am done with voting for McCain to get Palin. Trump is the exact opposite of Cruz. I don’t want another 4 years of opinion poll Presidency I yearn for justice and the rule of law.
Cruz or America looses
Cruz has an uphill battle. I’ve kind of resigned to the fact that Trump will be the nominee.
I HOPE that Trump has been a conservative in moderate clothing these past years and I will vote for him in the general or if he is in a tight contest with a GOPe.
But yes, I find Cruz brilliant and exciting. I’m in the minority.
Cruz is the best of the establishment candidates. But that’s the problem, he is still establishment.
... I yearn for justice and the rule of law...
Justice - like the millions of unemployed and underemployed with jobs again? Like corporations returning to the US?
Rule of Law - Like enforcing the laws on the books? Like securing the border? Like deporting illegal aliens?
Just a couple of observations but they both sound better than fighting the “Washington cartel”.
Well since I’m assuming you don’t live in the USA you should be able to deal with the fact that Trump will be meting out justice here at home, rebuilding our country and still championing Israel.
Absent an alien abduction Trump is the GOP nominee and likely President.
I urge you to keep watching how things develop, and if Trump is the nominee, go ahead and vote for him anyway. You will not affect the presidential race or the party if you abstain; you will merely give another vote to Hillary or Bernie and we will all suffer accordingly.
Many of us wish the nation were ready for a conservative president like Cruz, but looking around us, we realize that it is not. Sexual liberation and the availability of abortion are like drugs to which a large section of the population are virtually addicted; Cruz is campaigning on ending abortion and other religion-related topics that much of the nation is now hostile towards, very sadly. It's important to vote for someone who can win not just the nomination, but the general election.
As they say, "Don't let the perfect drive out the good."
If Trump is the nominee, you will get Cruz anyway, because the two of them respect each other and Trump will doubtless appoint Cruz to a critically important post. But if Cruz is the nominee and loses, you will not get either of their strong skills.
Even if by a miracle Cruz could win the general election, which in my opinion he cannot at this time in a strongly Democrat-influenced culture for the past 60 years (two generations) with a relentlessy Democrat media establishment, it is doubtful that he would be able to find a suitable appointment for Trump, and we would lose all of Trump's valuable skills in finance, redevelopment, deal-making and leadership. Trump is a born leader and is not at a point in his life where he would put up with being a second banana or a government functionary. Whereas Cruz is only 44 and has a long span of opportunity ahead of him, with the help of God.
“I am done with voting for McCain to get Palin.”
Most of us aren’t. We are voting for Trump to get Trump. Cruz as VP would be a nice bonus, but Trump ain’t no McCain, my FRiend. Not by a longshot.
Cruz is soft on illegals. He wants a path to legal status for illegals. 11 to 20 million Illegals is #1 issue for me and most Americans. Cruz is obeying his rich donors and pushing the cheap labor express.
