This pdf was released in 2012 and is interesting because it gives a behind the scenes view of terrorist recruiting and training.

This—and many similar jihadi publications—should be required reading for FReepers.
What comes across is that the jihad recruiters make a point appeal personally to young Muslims’ sense of honor and valor; personal sacrifice for The Great Cause.
Particularly interesting is that the mujaheddin are given the choice—come to Mideast to fight, or fight where ever they are, in whatever way they’re able, but they’re all in it together.
Most importantly, they know what they believe, and they’re willing to die for their beliefs.

Americans have lost this sense of cohesiveness and resolve, and without it we cannot prevail.

this is of course valuable for helping to understand jihadis. However, there is information there that would be useful to FREEFOR as well. Don't think of it as only applying to jihadis.
