Full title:Radicalized US Muslim was teased by colleagues about his Islamic beard and had clashed with Jewish co-worker over religion before he and Pakistani wife killed 14 at San Bernardino holiday party

The family of San Bernardino gunman Syed Farook have claimed that he had been teased by colleagues about his long Islamic beard hours after it emerged that he had also clashed with a Jewish co-worker over religion weeks before he and his wife killed 14 at a holiday party.

While the exact motive for the massacre remains unclear, lawyers for the Farook family said the gunman had been subject to a series of disparaging comments about his traditional Muslim appearance.

But they insisted that the health inspector had ‘brushed off’ the remarks and they remained at a loss to explain why he mercilessly gunned down 14 people and wounded 21, the majority his former co-workers, on Wednesday.

Maybe not. Almost getting killed by a crazed Muslim could be a wake-up call.

The Jewish guy said that Islam wasn’t a peaceful religion. Well, he showed him!

I’ve been teased about being short, nearsighted, having very poor handwriting, and eating too many cookies (sideways teasing about weight).

Never killed coworkers either.

Clearly a victim of micro-aggressions.

I'm teased about my weight, lack of coordination, quirky sense of humor, odd knowledge of worthless trivia, my liking of sardines and kimchee (not eaten together, well not yet, anyway), and a vast array of other things. I give it back as good as I get it. What I don't do is go off and kill my co-workers.

If you ate sardines and kimchee together, you wouldn't have any co-workers. It seems to me that some cultures and "religions" are completely lacking in any sort of introspection, self-esteem or tolerance. There are any number of animals that seem to have higher intelligence and better social skills.

Dear Ben Ashford and Ruth Styles:

Obviously this wasn't a case of SJS (Sudden Jihad Syndrome), because it took months to buy, plan, and build everything.

The MSM is tying itself into a giant pretzel.

This is absolute crap based upon a remark by one of the family lawyers who seemed to have pulled it out of think air—I doubt any truth to the claim of harassment.

If I were the FBI I’d take a close look at those lawyers, and find out who was paying them.

Good point, AND...how/why the hell did CAIR call the news conference last night with the terrorist's BIL?

There's a whole bunch of questions that need answering.

Ah, I really don’t know necessarily what that is.

I guess a Jewish guy with heretical (to normal Jewish people) beliefs.

There is a fair amount of this in Israel with Russian immigrants that are Jews-for-Aliyah-purposes, but not Jewish, but end up following some sort of Nazarine/Jewish hybrid, usually due to intermarriage.

Pretty controversial, in that you can’t tell they are Nazarines right off the bat, but rather appear Orthodox.

"Ah, I really don't know necessarily what that is."

A Chrstian who describes himself as a "Messianic Jew." Their leaders tend to try to convert Jewish people to Chrstianity. Othodox rabbis call them missionizers.

Well, I have theological issues with the guy, but he was clearly Righteous Among the Nations.

A real mensch.

"The residents of Iroquois territory may not determine whether Jews may live in Jerusalem"

True. Really, no human beings may determine that. Only HaShem decided those issues once and for all, and that decision was made before our time.

I'm not Jewish, by the way, but I do study off and on. ...*not* Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Chrstian or any of those others, either. We live in a great and exciting time.

Agreed! He, in particular said in reply to the terrorist brain surgeon, "He also assumes I'm a Jew - a great compliment." That does not appear to be the words of a missionizer but words of a man of integrity, indeed. Quote from an image of a message that he posted (under number "2").

Thanks. It appears from his words, that Thalasinos did his best to be an honest and good man.

I know what a Messianic Jew is and he isn’t one.
He is a born again Christian who attends a Messianic congregation. I read his Facebook page before they took it down and he said he was NOT Jewish.

Nicholas Thalasinos was not ethnically Jewish .
He was a born again Christian (Evangelical) that attended a Messianic congregation .

I am not ethnically Jewish either but because of my support for Israel I get accused of being Jewish in disguise all the time too
