Unless you’re on public property (like a public school or government building) where carrying is prohibited by law, I think the most that can be done is ask you to leave. Now if you refuse the request it then becomes trespassing.

“No guns” signs in private businesses carry the same weight as “No shirt, no shoes no service” ones.

But the comment above that it’s best to just avoid businesses that prohibit carrying is the best option. Particularly if there’s a way to let them know they aren’t getting your business/money because of it.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Considering the intelligence and agenda of American jurors, this may not be fully true any more. But one jury did come through for Zimmermann in FL; seemed that one later regretted her vote for acquittal. But the twelve may be able to do what the six surely cannot.

>>As others have said, wonder if they do know something they aren’t telling us? There is no telling how many lone jihadis are sitting around waiting for the “go” signal.

Of course they know something. We all know it, but don’t want to admit it. We are nation of soft targets. They are a people who hate and don’t mind dying. You can’t defend against that and stay free. They always get to make the first move. I was at Taco Bell last night and a muslim-looking guy walked in. All you can do is hope that he isn’t the one who is going Jihad tonight because he’s probably just a guy who wants a burrito.

But if he is, he gets to choose when, where, how, and who he attacks. Furman is telling us that all we can do is have a tool that can change your side of the equation a little bit.

Stay alert. Be armed. Don’t panic. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. That is Condition Yellow and everyone who is capable should operate like that. The rest should learn how to duck and cover.

Take your “concerns” elsewhere.

PS and spare mags in something harmless looking like a metal tobacco or mints can for the other pocket.
I also use a leather stomach bag, AKA a “shoot me first” pack, but it beats nothing for a short trip to the store.
Sometimes the best `spare mag’ has another gun wrapped around it: a BUG, or back up gun.

Now, you’ll meet a lot of guys in the internet who will claim that they can conceal a 1911 with three spare mags in gym shorts and a tank top

I personally saw a friend of mine while he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt pull a concealed short barrel 1911 Kimber out of his waist band. I didn't know he had it on him until he showed me.

>>For hot weather carry I’ve found that I can run some Perry suspenders under a tee shirt to hold up a sturdy pair of shorts with deep pockets containing a Springfield XDS .45.

I honestly never thought of wearing suspenders under my shirt! Thanks for that tip. I just checked and found these as a way of doing it even better:

No matter how much experience one has, there’s always some FReeper with an even better idea.

Well Fuhrman did say the muzzies are watching the response to this terrorist act...and making their plans accordingly...I’m paraphrasing here

So will Mark cover my legal and incarceration expenses when I am prosecuted for using my gun in a gun free zone?

For what? You aren't breaking any laws. It's like wearing shorts or flip flops when they don't permit it.

If you are forced to use your gun, in a gun free zone, it would only be to save your life.

If you are successful and you live, I would think you'd be happy to pay your own expenses.

If you are member of the NRA-ILA call them and they will send a professional, gun law expert, lawyer.

If not, don't carry, get killed, and your loved ones can worry about your funeral expenses,

I don’t trust clip-ons, but the soft cotton sounds good.
http://www.perrysuspenders.com/persus.html
Perry’s actually attach to your belt. Solid.
Problem is, that polyester and elastic can rub your tits raw if you don’t wear an under shirt of some kind, and remember, it’s hot.

I hate dirtbags & muzzies for rubbing my nipples raw ...

series, a soft cotton Perry-type pair of suspenders would be ideal.

It’s gotten to the point in this country, where the law cares and protects the evil more than the innocent.

They are bringing this kind of resistance on their own by encouraging people to be sheep.

I carry everywhere, regardless of signs, with the exception of schools and the post office. In MN (not sure about other states), those carry felony charges.

The irony is that schools are one of the biggest targets IMO. Thus I try to avoid- but with 4 kids I often an weighing this risks/reward in my mind.

I carry my Springfield XDS .45 in this holster. Even with shorts. Love the combo, very comfortable.

...and the cost of not carrying, even in a posted Gun Free Zone, outweighs the cost of potentially serving time for violating a law designed to make you a victim of slaughter.
