On the Ingraham show Fuhrman just told everyone with CCW to carry into ANY place where there is NO metal detector.
Already do it.
I’ll take an ordinance violation over a dead family any day.
My bad, you are correct, of course.
In Colorado there are no rules on sign size or placement. Some theaters will have a little one in the lower corner of a far left door. Champps had a no gun policy here but it was the 5th line on a set of rules posted in a dark corner of the waiting space. Doesn’t matter here because, other than federali property, they can only ask you to leave.
Don’t get me wrong, which you obviously have. My original question was a rhetorical one.
>>If I âforgetâ and carry into gun free zone, what legal
jeopardy am I eposed to?
They can ask you to leave. If you leave, you should be OK. If you start arguing the 2nd amendment with a business owner, you are guilty of trespass.
But, the key here is CONCEALMENT! Sturdy belts, good holsters, good choice of clothing style and color, strategy in where you sit, and comfort with your gun that keeps you from touching it every 5 seconds. If your spouse is surprised that you are carrying, then you are doing it right.
The right to carry should be as preveailant as the right of free speech.
But the way things are right now, while carrying I’d be more worried about being gunned down by some nervous leo than a terrorist. There needs to be a general change in attitude by the authorities to go along with the true right of self defense.
It is the same in Oregon, and I think in most states.
Unless the sign meets the legal requirements, and they are interesting, it is merely advice, and you can not be prosecuted for ignoring it.
In Oregon, the sign must be one foot square, i.e. 12" on each side. This means that you can't just print one up on an office printer and scotch tape it in the window.
It must also be black letters on a white background. White letters painted on a glass door is just plain not good enough.
YMMV, check your home state law.
...and my response wasn’t. On purpose.
Just common sense which liberals lack. They KNOW Islamo-Nazis are in the country planning attacks, so WHY are they hell bent on disarming the public?
If they have a sign and I can get what I want somewhere else I go somewhere else. If they have a drive through I may consider that. If I have to have what they have and they don’t have a metal detector then I just go in anyway. There are movie theaters that have signs that I totally ignore. I think you would have to be crazy to go to a theater unarmed.
All I’m saying is: if you don’t know how to reach for something on a top shelf, or how to take out your wallet, or block some lib chick from trying to give you a waist hug, or how to bend over to pick something up, or how to keep from `printing’ so that you flash (the legal term might be `brandishing’) your piece/evil gun, you’re asking for trouble from some `goo goo’ in a place where they’ve warned sheepdogs like us to leave our teeth at home, so that you might be looking down the barrel of some nervous cop with n itchy trigger finger, right out the academy who associates all guns with bad men, and at least a misdemeanor charge;
and, if these sheep don’t want my free security services, to hell with them.
You sound like a guy who knows all this stuff, so this advice is for my fellow freepers who don’t.
So will Mark cover my legal and incarceration expenses when I am prosecuted for using my gun in a gun free zone?

Just principle, which is fine?
Or does he have information he can't share?
Which is it, just axin'.
There are slacks that if fitted correctly reveal NOTHING
>>Sounds good sitting at a computer. Rotting in a jail cell, facing federal charges might bring a different perspective.
I’m not a computer commando. I carry everywhere, everyday. I live in Florida where it is hard to conceal for most of the year, but I do it anyway.
Now, you’ll meet a lot of guys in the internet who will claim that they can conceal a 1911 with three spare mags in gym shorts and a tank top so I’ll tell you that I carry light: a Sig P290 or Glock 43 (single stack compact 9mm) with one spare mag at night or a Beretta Bobcat or S&W Bodyguard 380 during the day. My gun exists to clear out threats that are between my family and the exit. I am not carrying to fight someone else’s war.
What “federal charges” are you talking about?
My eyesight just isn’t what it used to be I have trouble reading signs
Can Mark carry a gun yet?
In Colorado there isn’t much legal penalty If you are carrying in a posted place and IF someone figures it out the only thing they can do is ask you to leave if you do not leave then it is misdemeanor trespassing
“”””The right to carry should be as preveailant as the right of free speech.”””””
The first and second are both rights. I don’t need a permit for the first... why do I need a permit for the second?
He is a day late and a dollar short for me. I carry everywhere that I do not have to pass through a metal detector.
