If I were in charge, there would have been no notice. The only way to check security is to give no warning, just like any terrorist/criminal.
IMHO, this should be standard procedure by LE. In addition to beefed up security at all schools, etc.
I live in the Philippines, where there are constant battles with Muslims in the Western regions of Mindanao. I live in Davao City, which is on the same Island, but is far away from them. Davao City is considered one of the SAFEST cities in the world.
Just before reading this thread, I was talking with my Filipina wife about concern for my daughter's family. She lives near Holly Ridge, which is a hop-skip-and jump from Jacksonville, the home of Camp LeJeune's US Marines. To me, that would be a significant target area as well.
I sent my daughter an email telling her to start shopping in Wilmington, which is another 10 miles away in the other direction... Just saying'!

I agree a surprise visit might be best, but shouldn’t they wear uniforms and tell the principal who they are once they arrive??

This one’s a quadruple BS - today of all days, the military, Ft. Bragg, a team (3) not just 1, dressed down civvies, the military @ an elementary school?, etc.
They also look like jihadis the military brings here to train who sometimes venture out into the public for surveillance.
It doesn’t get any more suspicious than this and it surely isn’t the end of their adventure either.

I used to work in an office building with a parking garage.
Next to more office buildings with parking garages.
I saw a muslim appearing individual taking pictures of the buildings.
I told building management.
They said, “Maybe they’re just admiring the archtitecture.”
Nobody is going to worry until the headchopper’s ball is going on in half a dozen cities simultaneously.
Even then they’ll just stick their heads in the sand and make excuses for them.

Anyone could have seen this coming. No surprise here. What does surprise me a but is that it appears that one Barrack Hussein Obama has spoken, and his focus is on, “gun control!”

If they were legitimate, they’d be dressed way more professionally and the school superintendent should have been contacted by the sheriff’s dept instead of them walking into the school and talking to the office.

Are there students at the school whose parents are stationed at or work at Ft. Bragg? Perhaps the the highest officers at the fort are legitimately concerned about the safety of the children at the school?
