Castro is most liberals’ idol.
Complete power for over 50 years with no opposition party, no congress to deal with and no rule of law other than his word. If you criticized him then off to a labor camp you went (or worse).

His personality has always reminded me of that of an old Soviet bloc dictator, so Cuba sounds like the perfect place.
With some big issues hitting or about to hit the fan in Chicago, I wonder if he should stay home instead. Nah — I guess not. He’S just following the example of his old boss.
