FBI Director James Comey is the pivotal figure in the 2016 presidential race that no one is talking about.
Comey, a Republican appointed by President Obama who enjoys a stellar reputation on both sides of the aisle, is investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of State.
Clinton is the overwhelming favorite to win the Democratic presidential nomination next year and is expected to be a tough candidate for any Republican to face in 2016.
Yet the controversy surrounding her private email account remains an Achilles’ heel.
The GOP-created House Benghazi Committee flopped in October when Clinton testified for 11 hours. That hearing failed to produce anything newsworthy about her use of a private server and attracted criticism from liberals and conservatives alike.
Its failure makes it clear that the FBI will have the final say on whether Clinton did anything wrong or illegal. And whatever the verdict is, both parties will have to accept it because Comey is, in many ways, untouchable.
The 54-year-old FBI chief, confirmed by the Senate to a 10-year term in a 93-1 vote this summer, is known for his independence and aggressive prosecutions.
The grandson of a police officer in Yonkers, N.Y., he has repeatedly stressed his nonpartisan approach.

I’m not expecting much...Killary has people who will take care of her problems via threats or “other” ways. Hillary will not be touched...count on it.

Comey was furious at the soft ball “no jail time” deal made by that sorry hack (held in Congressional contempt) attorney General Holder.
Here is what is going to happen, in my opinion. Loretta Lynch will get the criminal referral from the FBI SOON. She will “deep six” it. She will be warned that after a reasonable review time not to exceed 2 weeks— if she “sits on it” the “FBI” will go to the press with their recommendation and facts to support prosecution. Mark my words. Al Gore will immediately enter the race and Biden will “reconsider is Elizabeth Warren will run with me as VP” . Pretty clear to me what is about to unfold. Comey has,by statue, a ten year term. Obama can do NOTHING to Comey!! Hillary is a miserable liar and committed terrible crimes jeapardizing our national security. She will be finished.
I heard of a guy from Boston who was allowed to go to prison for twenty years to cover for the guy that did the murder cause they real killer was an FBI snitch.
I’ve heard over and over how the FBI has allowed made people to skate.
Also I’ve heard and seen where obammy has used them as his private little police unit to harass folks that say things against this affirmative action punk.

The Hill is reporting this? And how fair he is? Doesn’t matter, the only way Hillary is brought up on any charges is if Obama decides that Liz Warren is the candidate.

DOJ will NOT prosecute.

Why is it that the Republicans always stress "nonpartisanship," and the Democrats always stress "partisanship?"
There is no doubt that the DOJ will not prosecute. And as far as Comey building a case, I will believe it when I see it.
If the DOJ refuses to prosecute and Comey resigns, then Obama will pick some black person to be the acting head of the FBI and the media will ignore why Comey resigned and just rave over how wonderful it is to have the FBI headed by a black person. If that doesn’t work, they will slime Comey as a partisan Republican.

All they need to do is file charges.

I doubt he’ll do the right thing and prosecute, he has a huge pension and doesn’t want to rock the boat.
I’m sure he just about as “wild card” for Hillary as Chief Justice Roberts is “wild card” for Obama.
