Senator Ted Cruz shot up to the No. 2 spot for the first time in USA Today's Power Rankings. Cruz's investment in Iowa has been a big help.
32 talking heads vote in the GOP Power Rankings poll. Not much of a poll.
Cruz is the BEST.
He has great support in Virginia!
<><> He beat abortion Dem/Barbie handily.
<><> Abbott took on the lesbian sheriff and said NO to sanctuary cities.
<><> Abbott is a leader who gets things done; he lead 26 AG's in the
successful legal fight to get Obama's heinous amnesty EO's out on hold.
<><> Abbott recently found the funding loophole that could prevent Obama
from forcing taxpayers to finance Syrian refugees squatting in the US.
<><> He warned non-profit groups to cease their refugee activities in his state.
<><> Abbott honored a young Texas student who defended her Christianity w/ an invite to his office.
<><> Texas has an armed state militia.
Texas Gov Greg Abbott would be an outstanding VP choice for Donald Trump.
Gov Abbott is permanently disabled, confined
to a wheelchair b/c of a crippling accident.
CRUZ CONTROL!!!! YEAH, BABY!
It ain’t going to be Trump that’s picking a VP. Ted Cruz 2016. Not that Abbott would not make a great VP but two from Texas on the same ticket (while as a Texan I like it) we are going to need another VP from different electoral state. I remember being so pissed when Reagan picked Bush for VP. But sometimes you have to do a thing for electoral votes. I have no idea who would be a great Cruz VP and bring something to the table.
Go Cruz!
Good to know!
USA Today's Power Rankings...Is that more important than CNN Presidential Predictor? As if there aren't enough fictitious, bullshit polls and opinion drivel, we now have power rankings.
Excellent.
Oprah is into black liberation and sat in those Rev Wright sermons...Trump says she’s a good friend and wants her as VP??? No thanks Schrump.
I think that the constitution bars having the presidential and vice presidential candidates from the same state. Cheney slipped through because he has his official residence in Jackson Hole Wyoming.
LOl....USA Today’s “power rankings” is compiled from ‘political experts’, not actual voters.
Here’s more, from this recent ‘power ranking’.....
Trump remains No. 1 in our survey, with 17 first-place votes. While he has continued to toss out comments that are considered poor taste or inaccurate, he is the unquestioned front-runner.
But Cruz and Marco Rubio are gaining ground. Rubio actually took more first-place votes in our survey (seven) than Cruz (four), but Cruz scored higher in total because 19 of our experts put him in second place.
Wait, what?? Rubio actually took MORE FIRST-PLACE votes, than Cruz....but these ‘experts’ decided to put Cruz ahead of Rubio????
Could this ‘ranking’ be any more convoluted...or subjective??

Cheney switched his residency from Texas back to Wyoming while living in Dallas. The sitting Texas Governor can’t pull that stunt.
Both running mates can be from the same state but that state’s electoral votes are sacrificed in the process. Too steep of a penalty for anyone to try it.
OTOH---Cruz has NOT ruled out citizenship for the 11 million illegals squatting on the US gravy train. Not to mention Cruz's expansion of the HB1 visas which takes jobs away from Americans. Seems to be a vengeful me-first Latino strain in Cruz----the hateful "us against them" spills over every now and then.
