I rarely agree with Obama, but this time he has a point. We've certainly done our share of producing hot air. And by "us", I mean him. Because Obama just does not stop talking.
In a speech interrupted by repeated beeps warning that he had exceeded his time limit, Mr. Obama said in Le Bourget that the climate conference represented an important turning point in world history because the leaders attending the meeting now recognize the urgency of the problem.
The urgency of the problem is how to shut him up. All the world leaders agree on that. Every time Obama gives a speech, the planet's average temperatures increase by 3 degree. It's the opposite of the Gore effect in which his boring speeches actually lower temperatures and cause snowfall wherever he goes.
"I've come here personally, as the leader of the world's largest economy and the second-largest emitter,"Mr. Obama said, "to say that the United States of America not only recognizes our role in creating this problem, we embrace our responsibility to do something about it."
Apologizing for America and committing its taxpayers to pay reparations to his donors and assorted Third World dictatorships is what Obama does best. That and talk endlessly.
He promised money to help the poorest nations transition to economies that depend less on burning fossil fuels, but he said a delay was not acceptable.
That's a transition we haven't even managed, but sure. Let's buy Chinese solar panels that break within a year for the entire planet. American taxpayers can afford it. They're already wallowing in too much money and never have to worry about the price of food.
Mr. Obama also repeated an argument, lampooned by some Republicans, that the climate conference was a fitting response to the terrorist attacks that cost the lives of 130 people in and around Paris on Nov. 13.
I guess we could fight ISIS or buy Chinese solar panels for Somalia. And Obama isn't any good at fighting ISIS. So Chinese solar panels it is.
Citing climate change as "a huge challenge,"Mr. Xi said it was "very important for China and the United States to be firmly committed to the right direction of building a new model of major country relations,"including by "partnering with each other to help the climate conference deliver its expected targets."
Translation. America will buy Chinese junk Green Energy tech with money it borrows from China. China will laugh all the way to the bank while offering fake non-binding "cuts". Obama will demand another Nobel Peace Prize for the accomplishment.
Mr. Obama rejected arguments that cleaning up the world's air would be too costly or lead to poorer lifestyles.
Sure, just ask all the seniors freezing to death in the UK. Or dying of heatstroke in France. There's no possible way that raising the price of energy can lead to poorer lifestyles.

He should apologize! Every time he opens his mouth, a great swelling abundance of hot air releases into the atmosphere increasing the CO2 and brain cell loss of those listening.

Jane Fonda sounds climate change alarm in Toronto
The Star ^ | July 4, 2015 | Christopher Reynolds
"The climate change problem is the issue of our civilization. It will affect everything about our lives if we don't do something about it," she [Jane Fonda] says.

Here's Hanoi Jane remarking on the agenda that Obama refers to as (quote)
"The fundamental transformation of the United States of America"...
November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:
"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

"The environment is suffering damage that could be irreversible - global warming, the greenhouse effect, the melting of the polar ice caps, the rising sea level, hurricanes - with terrible social occurrences that will shake life on this planet."
"I believe this idea has a strong connection with reality. I don't think we have much time. Fidel Castro said in one of his speeches I read not so long ago, 'tomorrow could be too late, let's do now what we need to do'."
"I believe it is time that we take up with courage and clarity a political, social, collective and ideological offensive across the world - a real offensive that permits us to move progressively, over the next years, the next decades, leaving behind the perverse, destructive, destroyer, capitalist model and go forward in constructing the socialist model to avoid barbarism and beyond that the annihilation of life on this planet."

Bin Laden blasts US for climate change
January 29, 2010
CAIRO - Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming, according to a new audiotape released Friday.
In the tape, broadcast in part on Al-Jazeera television, bin Laden warned of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a halt.

Talk about Hubris. Obama and the socialist elite really are full of it. The sun regulates the earth's temperature, not man, nor Obama.
Volcanoes add more carbon dioxide than any other source. If man is so powerful, why aren't they trying to stop volcanoes.Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, but beneficial to the environment. Carbon dioxide is the building block of our existence. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe. It seems the more carbon dioxide we have the better our crops will grow.
The only reason any of this hullabaloo is going on is because the intellectual elite want to redistribute wealth, because of their perceived guilt. Of course they don't want to redistribute their wealth, only the perceived wealth of others who cannot afford it.
Back in the 70’s there was a three or four hour on PBS about charging developed nations a tax on pollution, so as to redistribute wealth to undeveloped nations for their development. Once most pollution was under control in developed nations such as the US, they had nothing to tax, so they decided to recast the effort as global warming.
Notice that pollution is still rampant in China and other socialist states, where the citizen have no input, or say. They elite don't talk about that, because it would offend their socialist brothers.
Now that global warming is not sticking, and evidence mounts up that the world is going through a regular periodic cooling cycle, they want to call it climate change. When will they will determine that oxygen causes climate change?
Man is such an insignificant being, yet views himself as all powerful. Of course this fits right in with Obama’s view of himself.
Are they going to cheer and give themselves awards when we go into a mini-ice age, and congratulate themselves for stopping warming?
I believe I read somewhere that Gore and Obama are very much involved in the groups that people are paying carbon off sets to. Why do the liberal elites in government keep setting up schemes to make themselves wealthy after leaving office?
Even in our prosperity, we keep talking about our poor, but looking across the globe our “poor” are wealthy compared to 80-90 percent of the world's population. but of course you have to refer to those who are dependent upon the government as poor, so as to cause unrest and revolution.
The American dream was, and is freedom of worship, freedom of speech, freedom from governmental control, freedom to prosper, and freedom from those who would enslave us and chain us to an ideology that dictates the opposite. We were given the second amendment to ensure the people can right what is wrong.
Our Constitution does not give us rights, our constitution limits the national government's power and protects us against dictates, such as Obama and the liberal elite are trying to cram down the throats for the American people.
It is funny that a 51% vote in a presidential election seems to give the president the right to dictate to us, but we must have 60 % in the Senate in order to vote on anything, we the people want.
People have not been upset with Congress. They have been upset with the Senate. The House reflected their views, but the Senate did not.
Now we have both the House and Senate, but the Senate will not have a straight vote for any issue. They are not representing the states, as was intended by the Constitution, they represent those with deep pockets who contribute. So again we have unhappiness.
The nuclear option needs to be employed (a straight 50% vote in the senate, just as in the House) and place everything the people want on the president's desk for him to veto.
Go back and take every bill that Harry Reid sat on, and take a straight vote. Place every one of these bills on Obama’s desk. It will then be obvious who is betraying the public’s will. If vetoed, Obama will be shutting down the government, just as he and Harry Reid did in the past.

Do any one of these ignoramuses have the slightest idea what their lives and what the world would be like without the (so-called) fossil fuels?
Just for starters - They fly around the world on petroleum fueled aircraft, assembled in petroleum fueled factories on machines created with the power of petroleum, constructed from materials derived from petroleum or produced with petroleum powered machinery.
All this as they dine on food and drink produced, harvested, delivered and prepared with petroleum powered machinery and petroleum produced electricity.

The % of atmospheric CO2 produced by man is just 0.0036% (Politicians avoid this number like the plague because it shows how asinine their claims are that man is causing climate change)
The US, being generous here, is responsible for 20% of that 0.0036%-
Meaning that the total % of atmospheric CO2 in the atmosphere due to the US is 0.00072%
Can anyone in government please explain to us how 0.00072% of the atmosphere is causing global climate change?
And while you’re at it please explain to us how CO2 ‘is responsible for climate change’ when evidence proves temperatures rise FIRSTR, then 800 years later CO2 rises
Thanks

How long did Obama go past his allotted time? About 150,300 hours, which is the number of hours he has been in office.
