Trump: I’m steamrolling Jeb, Rubio in their home state
The Hill ^ | 11/28/15 | Bradford Richardson

Posted on 11/28/2015 4:06:51 PM PST by jimbo123

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is going after GOP primary rivals Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for polls showing them trailing the businessman in their home state.

"We're leading in Florida against a sitting senator, right - a sitting senator," Trump said at a rally in Sarasota, Fla., on Saturday.

"So we are beating a sitting senator who never votes for Florida," he added.

"And think of this, we're leading against an ex-governor, Bush - Bush, in favor of Common Core, can you believe you're in favor of Common Core?"

Illinois: Cantorize Nancyboy Kirk!

Illinois 16: Cantorize Adam Kinzinger (who was created by Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy to serve them and their corrupt interests)!

It is nearly impossible to imagine Cruz supporting Common Core and its low rent Marxist curriculum. Don’t you think?

'Trump has a particular talent. He will be able to select the right person for the job.

I don't think Cruz has that ability. And I believe it's a learned skill...over a long period of time.

Cruz should be AG...and then the nominee for USSC when there's an opening.'

Excellent post. Cruz just doesn't seem the bar room brawler type like Trump, but with a good legal mind would make an excellent replacement for any one of the libtards on the S.C.

I favor Cruz but will certainly support Trump in the finals if Cruz accepts the VPOTUS nomination and especially if Trump agrees to defer to Cruz on judicial nominations. Cruz could bring a LOT to the vetting of judges and SCOTUS justices. If Trump used Cruz as a sort of Chief of Staff and close collaborator, the two of them could achieve a monumental restoration of this republic and, as Trump says: Make America Great Again!

What’s the deal? Is he just a big Target, while Hillary the Felon in waiting isn’t?

I want to see Trump kick Hillary's arse up between her shoulders, so she'd have to take off her shirt to s@@t.

Electorally speaking of course.

I am the glass half empty type, a worry bug. I think TRUMP needs to actually HELP the Trump ticket, especially when he moves out from the conservative South.

Presuming that Trump can carry the South and the conservatives, this means Cruz lends no particular help to Trump in the South, except for maybe among a very few single candidate voters.

That’s worth about 12 votes.

Moving out of the South, however, I just don’t see how Cruz helps TRUMP in the north, in moderate liberal country.

My bet Trump “surprises”, with his VP pick. I have thought Sessions, who has made no enemies, kept his head down and can talk immigration and TPP all day long, as the sage of the senate.

Could be someone exotic that we don’t even imagine. With foreign policy teeth. Petraeus styled exotic. Who could imagine that?

But, look at the wives he marries. Smart, accomplished and exotic. Trust is important to Trump, also.

Strictly from electoral help POV, here are two who could help the Trump ticket. Criminal Hillary looks inevitable and will push for war on women like never before.

Susana Martinez... helps with Hispanics, social conservatives & other ethnic groups. Executive experience. New Mexico Prosecutor of the Year in March 2010, scored major points at the 2012 GOP convention in Tampa, serving up a rousing stem-winder that propelled her further into the national political limelight. Will help neuter war on women meme Hillary is already pushing. Brings Western states in play. East-West ticket balance.

Congresswoman Marsha Blakburn...Blackburn believes that free markets are the best markets. She knows that the Federal Government cannot intervene in the market without fault. The surest path to American economic growth is through small, limited government that controls spending, promotes growth, and does not overburden its citizens with taxes. calling for a temporary suspension of Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) resettlement funding for all refugees,Will help neuter war on women meme. Strong on Veteran’s issues. Balances Trump from NY with TN in south. Very good on the stump.

“My bet Trump “surprises”, with his VP pick. I have thought Sessions, who has made no enemies, kept his head down and can talk immigration and TPP all day long, as the sage of the senate.”

That would be awesome, in a lot of ways better than Cruz. Sessions has been a solid conservative-and anti-illegal immigration-since the days of Tancredo in the house.

Where is he from?

I was thinking Cruz could help get Texas’ electoral votes. But that may not be necessary.

Trump likes to surprise us, so I do doubt if it would be Cruz. We’ll see if they start being nasty to each other as time goes on.

I really hate to see a VP pick based on pandering though. But it could be necessary, in this case.

Those are both excellent choices, but NM and TN are small states. And Trump would have Tennessee in the bag anyway.

We need to get 2 of the big population states - Florida, New York, Texas, California. California is impossible. New York most likely is too, even though Trump is from there.

Any strong conservatives from Florida that are women?
