I was about to post this story from a different source. I found this interesting.
In a video clip of the incident taken by the Dogan News Agency, men hiding behind the minaret of a nearby mosque started firing at Elci and people standing with him.
Guns in a mosque? No way !

Tahir Elci was shot on Saturday while he was making a press statement. Elci, the head of the bar association in the mainly Kurdish city, was detained last month for saying during a live news program that the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, is not a terrorist organization.
and therefore, Elci and the PKK were not oppressed, and not eligible for Obama's support or protection.
