The only caliber I have absolute confidence in is the .45 ACP. Everything else is second best.

My 44 Mag does a pretty good job.
the 10mm automatic on my hip right now LOLs at the 9mm versus .45 acp debate.
I like the .45, but prefer the 125 grain .357 magnum rd. Good ballistics and proven man stopper. The only downside is it is hell on K frame S&W revolvers.
The only bullet that can be expected to stop anything is the one that hits.....
If a 22 LR is all one can accurately shoot under stress but a 454 casull is on your waist, you are carrying the wrong weapon.....
That said, I prefer to practice and carry a handgun that has a caliber that begins with a “.4....”.
