Drive through western Georgia on State Route 116 and you might notice an unusual declaration on a welcome sign: Harris County is not politically correct.
The sign, which went up earlier this week, cheerfully welcomes visitors to the county â and then warns them.
"WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect," the sign states. "We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you ... LEAVE!"
Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley put up the sign because, he said, over the years he has seen "the silent majorityâ grow even âmore silent." He thought it was time to speak up.
"It's time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed," Jolley told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

There seems to be a trend for this. Read the article, they say some stores are doing this also.
HAPPY THANKSGIVIN!!
I love it! God Bless law enforcement and the people of this Georgia town!........Happy Thanksgiving from the God fearing state of Kansas.
Wow.....good for them
If the liberals push this story in the media, it will be a matter of them being shocked, just shocked, that anyone would post such signs. And they will chastise them for not being inclusive and not celebrating diversity and all that.
Can’t wait to see if the liberal media pick up this story.
Years ago, who would have thought that it would ever be controversial to state some basic traditional values such as mentioned on the signs?????
Wow! Great news. Kudos to this extremely brave sheriff. How will the left react to this? Is there something so offensive here that they will excoriate him?
I never miss an opportunity to “offend” the politically correct crowd. I fly the American flag and set up a nativity scene in the yard at Christmas. It drives the commie libs crazy.
This man needs to run for the U.S. Senate in Georgia.
Backlash 2015.
So, this just showed up on www.yahoo.com , one minute ago.
“Sheriff’s ‘politically incorrect’ sign turns heads”

Oh, You came to start a new life in my country.
Please tell me more about how our schools and traditions have to change to fit your needs.
Bravo!
I am all for freedom of speech and not really PC.
But I think this is stupid.
It is indicative of how reactive our world is to social media bull-crap.
I don’t think the Sheriff is bad. I think he’s immature.
HOMOS: “where is this Schuler’s bakery in this picture?? let’s order a cake then threaten them with a lawsuit while we call all our liberal media friends to state lies for us!”
No he is playing the those of us that elected him. To the south of Harris County is Muscogee County/Columbus one of the most liberal areas of the state. All of the conservatives in the area moved north to Harris County and we thumb our nose at the idiots in Muscogee County.
And putting up a sign does what?
As they say...talk is cheap. If you act the way you feel, and live that life no one needs a sign.
It’s done for attention.
Like a 13 year old school girl. At least you expect a grown man to be more original, and not copy a coffee shop in Ohio
Jeez, you sound like you're the original author...and are pissed because you forgot to copyright the sign.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
If that bothers you, then LEAVE!
Good for him. F these politically correct A holes. Keep posting politically incorrect stuff.
My wife is from Springfield OH and grew up with Schuler’s Bakery. Might have to make a special trip to visit the in-laws an give the bakery some out-of-town business...
