Obama recently lashed out against the idea of giving preference to Christian refugees, describing it as "shameful:": "That's not American. That's not who we are. We don't have religious tests to our compassion," loftily added the American president.

"how are Sunnis "refugees"? Who are they fleeing? Considering that the Obama administration defines refugees as people "persecuted by their government," most of those coming into the U.S. either aided or at least sympathized with the jihad against Assad (even if they only revealed their true colors when the time was right)."
Eff ‘em. Send them to Saudi Arabia. All of them.
Good point.
Obama lectures and shows preference to muslims.
He can blow it out his corn hole....
Maybe Obama should look at it as affirmative action for Syrians. Since Christians are the minority, they should get preference.
Nothing new here really...we knew this over six years ago. And Congress let this just go on with NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

christians are facing genocide and obama think muslims are teh victims here
First off, you can see in US 8 section 1158 that the ‘Syrian Refugees’ can not offer the burden of proof for asylum status. This requires the persecution of a group by another.
However, Christians in Iraq and the Yazidi that were executed in mass could be considered rightful asylum seekers. Concerning Syrians, the lie starts at the very beginning by calling them ‘refugees’.
Will anyone in our govt wake up and realize Obama is helping America’s enemies? How much more proof do they need and where do they think this will lead?
They’re all scared of the guy because of the color of his skin and the mean old MSM? That’s the real shame. That they are so concerned about winning the next election that they’re willing to risk losing the entire country.
I’m not sure it’s a hatred for Christians so much as uncertainty that they’ll become reliable Democrat voters.
Yea, send them to some other Muslim hellhole and let Muslims deal with their own.
Who is this 'WE' to whom that foreign muslim pos refers???
Nah...I'm pretty sure he hates Christians, just like all muslims.
The administration said it takes 18-24 months to vet these people. Really? If true, where are they living? Wherever they have been living, tell them to stay there. If they survived so far, wherever they are, and we have ISIS “contained” then there is no need for them to flee now.
It is a hatred for Christians.
The two things you stated are not mutually exclusive.
And those long muslim wagon trains heading out west from Independence, Missouri?
How they bravely crossed the burning deserts and the snow covered Rocky Mountains to open up the west?
Me neither.
But Obama knows all about it.
Sam Harris is an atheist and is critical of all religious faiths but he takes Islam particularly to task:
Anyone familiar with my work knows that I am extremely critical of all religious faiths. I have argued elsewhere that the ascendancy of Christian conservatism in American politics should terrify and embarrass us. And yet, there are gradations to the evil that is done in name of God, and these gradations must be honestly observed. So let us now make sense of the impossible by acknowledging the obvious: there is a direct link between the doctrine of Islam and Muslim terrorism. Acknowledging this link remains especially taboo among political liberals.
. . .
While the other major world religions have been fertile sources of intolerance, it is clear that the doctrine of Islam poses unique problems for the emergence of a global civilization. The world, from the point of view of Islam, is divided into the âHouse of Islamâ and the âHouse of War,â and this latter designation should indicate how Muslims believe their differences with those who do not share their faith will be ultimately resolved. While there are undoubtedly some moderate Muslims who have decided to overlook the irrescindable militancy of their religion, Islam is undeniably a religion of conquest. The only future devout Muslims can envisageâas Muslimsâis one in which all infidels have been converted to Islam, politically subjugated, or killed. The tenets of Islam simply do not admit of anything but a temporary sharing of power with the âenemies of God.â Devout Muslims can have no doubt about the reality of Paradise or about the efficacy of martyrdom as a means of getting there. Nor can they question the wisdom and reasonableness of killing people for what amount to theological grievances. In Islam, it is the moderate who is left to split hairs, because the basic thrust of the doctrine is undeniable: convert, subjugate, or kill unbelievers; kill apostates; and conquer the world.[102]
Islam, more than any other religion human beings have devised, has all the makings of a thoroughgoing cult of death.
As a matter of doctrine, the Muslim conception of tolerance is one in which non-Muslims have been politically and economically subdued, converted, or put to sword.
Yes, the Bible contains its own sadistic lunacyâbut the above [Qur’an] quotations [taken from The End of Faith, pp. 117-123] can be fairly said to convey the central message of the Qurâanâand of Islam at nearly every moment in its history. The Qurâan does not contain anything like a Sermon on the Mount. Nor is it a vast and self-contradictory book like the Old Testament, in which whole sections (like Leviticus and Deuteronomy) can be easily ignored and forgotten. The result is a unified message of triumphalism, otherworldliness, and religious hatred that has become a problem for the entire world. And the world still waits for moderate Muslims to speak honestly about it.[103]
The penalty for apostasy is death. We would do well to linger over this fact for a moment, because it is the black pearl of intolerance that no liberal exegesis will ever fully digest.
