Police have arrested a 38-year-old man and charged him with sexually assaulting and murdering 7-year-old Gabriella "Gabby" Doolin, who went missing last Saturday at a football game in Scottsville, Ky., authorities revealed.
The suspect, Timothy Madden, of Scottsville, was taken into custody by the Kentucky State Police Friday morning and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Allen County Jail, authorities continued, according to Inside Edition.
The charges include kidnapping resulting in the victim's death, rape, sodomy and murder. However, authorities did not release further details about the arrest because the investigation is ongoing.
The Doolins were at a pee-wee football jamboree on Saturday when Gabby went missing at 7:40 p.m. Her name was announced several times over the loudspeaker, but when she failed to come forward, the game was cancelled and everyone spread out to search for the missing girl, according to ABC News.
"We quit and the entire community started looking for her. We had a complete lockdown of the school. I mean, it was super quick," said family friend Mike Willoughby.
