Following Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan's "show-vote" on the nationâs resettlement of Syrian refugees, House conservative lawmakers are demanding that Ryan take sincere action by denying the President funds to refugee resettlement in the year-end funding bill. On Thursday, Rep. Walter Jones' office put out a statement explaining that Jones "rejects show vote on refugees" because the legislation âwould do nothing to cut off the funding for President Barack Obamaâs plan to import tens of thousands of Middle Eastern refugees into the U.S." In the release, Jones states, "Defunding President Obamaâs refugee program is the only way to ensure there is an actual halt to a refugee influx until we can determine without question that we are not giving terrorists a free pass into the United States⦠even if todayâs bill were⦠signed into law, the President would still retain the power to let in whoever, and however many, refugees he pleases."
Ryan, however, has left the door wide open to approving the Presidentâs annual request for refugee funding â which expires on December 11th. This would give the President the necessary funding to resettle refugees from all over the world into the United Statesâ who, upon arrival, would become instantly eligible for all federal benefits.

Walter Jones NC has been one of the few on the side of the citizens and the rule of law unlike Renee Elmers NC, who works for The Cheap Labor Express.
“Republicans” in the House made him the Speaker. They love him. He’s their guy. It’s all Show.
Ryan=TRAITOR

Hey Paul Ryan go back to the gym and work on your spine.
I predict RINOian will assume the gay position for Dorkbama the Muslim.
Ryan better start listening or he’ll be out with Boner.

DEFIANT: OBAMA VOWS MORE REFUGEES
The House Republicans have no balls.
Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) should be Speaker.
Paul Ryan’s holding back the hordes and he’s doing it well... Check out Drudge - he’s got a story called :DEFIANT: OBAMA VOWS MORE REFUGEES
The petulant democrat President wants to bring millions MORE people here because he wants to knock Americans off their high horse. Obama’s going to flood the country with people from inferior cultures and forced Americans to support these people. Obama doesn’t want us to have neighbors we could enjoy and welcome - he wants to put burdens on us. He hates that our country wins and lowlife cultures lose.
This while we’re in debt up to our eyeballs. Obama and the filthy liars in the democrat party want to destroy the county.
Really! Obama just fundamentally changed the chatacter and direction of America, without Congress.
It is more a matter of being focused on results and not process.
Walter Jones is a good guy but 40-50 conservatives in the House are not going to force Ryan the RINO to take a stand. He is a uniparty progressive just like Boehner, McConnell et al and he will do nothing to stop Obama.
What we need is a new speaker.
This is truly cowardly behavior on the part of Paul Ryan. Someone needs to run side-by-side photographs or ‘Ryan and the Refugees’ in an ad.
Ryan will be no improvement over Boner. Have never been impressed with him and he added little or nothing to the presidential ticket in 2012. Couldn’t even bring him home state, which had almost gone Republican in earlier presidential years, into the Republican column.
Republican ‘leadership’ still works against the wishes of the majority of those who vote Republican. Ryan needs to be Cantored, but I have no idea how likely that might be in his home district.
your comment is spot on. The right should start pulling the same crap. The press will call them on it immediately. Then we can simply point out that we are only doing what "their" president was doing. We should turn the tables on them by asking them why it was OK for him to do it but not us. That would wake up the American people faster then a cup of coffee.
“What we need is a new speaker.”
Then Wisconsin better turn Ryan out!
No, but 40-50 house conservatives could force Ryan out as Speaker via discharge petition - like what happened to cryin Johnny Boehner.
