But back in 2008, Trump explained to Wolf Blitzer that:
"Hillary's a great friend of mine. Her husband is a great friend of mine. They're fantastic people. I mean, they're -- you know, the thing, they get a bad knock. She's a very nice woman. People think, tough, tough. And I guess she's tough, but she's a very nice woman. And he's a very nice guy. We know all about the smarts and how smart they are, and all, but they are good people.
So I guess even though they were great friends and he donated more than $100,000 to Hillary's foundation, the only reason she came to his wedding is because ... she had no choice? So was he lying in 2008 when he said they were great friends?
Or is he lying now? He invited her to his wedding ... why, exactly????
If that's an example of "Trump telling it like it is," logical me ... I guess it depends on the meaning of what "is" is.
Whereas from how he gushed over her and Bill in 2008 (the2nd link in post is right), you'd have thunk that only three years earlier, the time of the wedding, it's because they were ... well, the great friends he said they were.
I'm sticking with Cruz. To hell with Trump. Talk about a bad risk!
He has said he was joking with that “The only reason” comment. She was the US Senator from his home state when he was undoubtedly asked by her for significant funds.
If you’re a businessman who needs government approvals it’s not great business to turn away your Senator.
What does this tell me? That Trump has the capacity to grow, to move on, to evaluate situations as they arise. That's a good thing.
Here is “telling it like it is”: Trump is going to be the nominee. Anything else is wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Here’s the thing this kind of stuff is irrelevant. It makes for great rhetoric on Free Republic but out in the real world Trump is standing up for what the majority of the country wants. So he will likely be given a chance to see what he do in the Whitehouse. Four years of Donald Trump will be a fantastic change from four years of Ofail.
If you had the knack and skills to make so many friends world over, you might have also been a Billionaire.
That is what successful business people do...have good relationships with as many powerful people as possible.
For crying out loud Trump was not part of RNC, did not hold an elected position as a republican, and was not a partisan hack back then, so he was 100% free to make friends every where and anywhere, and donate to anyone.
But what you really need to understand is what is the main reason Trump is ahead in popularity for 2016. He is the ONLY CANDIDATE TALKING ABOUT DEPORTING ALL ILLEGALS. No other candidate is allowed to utter the word DEPORT by their rich donors. They must keep pushing for the cheap labor express as dictated by their rich donors. That includes, no deportation of illegals, more H1-B visa’s, expand number of immigrants, push for foreign trade pacts with cheap labor countries, etc. I actually feel sorry for the more conservative candidates because their hands are tied.
Go Trump 2016!!! Build the great big Wall! Deport ALL illegals!!! We can bring back those whome we choose, legally.
