For months, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been promising a speech that would explain and make palatable what he calls "democratic socialism."
The problem for Sanders is that during his entire political career, he has run for office as a "socialist" - never mind the addition of "democratic."
Not that it makes a difference. A new poll out today shows Hillary Clinton ahead of Sanders by 25 points nationally. Sanders could call himself a reformed Druid and he'd still be buried.
But Sanders is determined to make socialism mainstream. To that end, he traveled to Georgetown University to give a speech before cheering students who haven't a clue that Sanders is pushing policies that would destroy their future.

Definition of “democratic socialism” is easy.....”one man, one vote, once.....”
Don’t forget class warfare.... and race warfare. Pitting one group of people against another is what Democrats do best.
While the peasants are fighting amongst themselves, they won’t notice that they are being lied to.
Sanders HAS achieved that goal...making Socialism mainstream. It is no longer anathema to boldly proclaim yourself a Socialist. We now have a dynamic and growing constituency for Socialism.
Example of democratic socialism: everyone on the block votes on how much stuff they’re going to steal from the most successful guy on the block and then votes on who gets to be on the committee that divides it all up.
He’s a Dazi.
bttt
The NEA has done its job well. College students are now so intensely stupid on the subject of economics they I doubt they can work as clerks on an old-fashioned cash register.
That's one vote per ass and that's the democrat way. Works for gays too.
It’s easy!
It is a form of Fabian Socialism in which one gradually and incrementally inserts socialist policy into law. This period of stealthy sedition may have to be executed in fits and starts, and over a long period depending upon the target population’s awareness. Eventually however, the day arrives where socialism is entrenched, the people are numb, and it is time to call for a one man, one vote, one time referendum to overtly establish a Marxist state.
As Mao said with respect to guerrilla war:
“The enemy advances, we retreat; the enemy camps, we harass; the enemy tires, we attack; the enemy retreats, we pursue.”
That, comrades and comradettes and revanchist wreckers and saboteurs, is Democratic Socialism.
Easy. It just takes a long view and persistence. Unless, of course, it gets rooted up along the way at some point because people have figured out what is going on.
Democrat socialism - NAZI socialism without the snappy outfits.
Yep—he also gives Hillary a chance to position herself right with Obama, but somehow as the relative “moderate” in the Dem race.
Luckily them new fangled cash registers do all the addin’ and subtractin’ for them. We’ve run into some that still get the change wrong even with the amount displayed right in front of them. Sounds like the end result doesn’t matter any more. It’s the “process” that was used to arrive at your conclusion that matters. WHAT!?
Unfortunately the current population (it seems anyway) awareness is more focused on the latest escapades of the kardouchians.
One time at an antique shop in upstate New York, the clerk was a 20-something intelligent-looking, intelligent-sounding white male. I bought something for $12 and handed him a 20. A second later I realized I had 2 singles and tried to hand them to him and he was surprised. Genuinely surprised.
20 is already more than 12 (or something like that)
Maybe he was pulling my leg, but I dont think so.
(No apostrophe on purpose)
I’d rather elect Col. Sanders, thank you. At least he offers free chicken.
“offers free chicken”. I could go somewhere with that but I won’t. :>)
Simple, the communist Sanders taxes workers down to near-poverty levels [socialism component] and uses the loot to buy votes [democrat component] to ensure his reelection.
