An amazing amount of people on this board are pro crony capitalism.

My guess is that it isn't so much that they are pro-crony capitalism as they simply don't bother to read the damn articles and think a little. Instead we get knee-jerk reactions along the lines of "If people are in jail, they're guilty, guilty, guilty and therefore they can all go to hell" despite the fact that the article CLEARLY says that this problem includes people awaiting trial.

My guess, also, is that most of these people are in the age bracket where they've spent most of their lives living in a USA that made sense, and, despite all that we've seen in the last decade or more, simply can't wrap their brains around the idea that not everything our government, to include law enforcement, does is proper these days.

Perhaps if you would think, you would realize that capital murder felons come back through the jail system to attend trial proceedings.

The people in the jail system ARE NOT simply awaiting arraignment.

In addition people convicted of lesser crimes spend their sentences in the jail system.

Misdemeanors and the like don't make it to prison.

After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding
this to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our
turn is coming again soon. We stand united against
Islamic extremists.

An honorable mention also goes out to Lassana Bathily , a Muslim immigrant from Mali.
Mr. Bathily sheltered customers at the Jewish Deli and helped police by providing info
on the terrorists, and providing the location of survivors in the deli.
