Donald Trump is looking increasingly likely to win the Republican nomination in 2016 â and it may not even be close.
Four months after being widely dismissed as a celebrity candidate who would wither under scrutiny, Trump isnât just defying political gravity. Heâs powering past it as he expands his leads in both national polls and critical early voting states.
A new Reuters poll conducted mostly after the November 13 attacks in Paris found Trump with more than double the support of his nearest rival nationally, taking 36 percent of Republican primary voters to Ben Carsonâs 14.6 percent. A Morning Consult poll released Tuesday showed the billionaire with an even loftier lead, polling 38 percent to Carsonâs 19 percent as Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz languished in the single digits.
A University of Massachusetts survey released Monday shows a closer contest â but Donald Trump still manages to outpoll the fading Ben Carson by nine points.

See my post #119.
That’s some projection complex you have; pity that.....
I never said that Reuters was a foreign government. Try again.
No! Medved has been shilling for the RINO^s for months since he came back from throat cancer treatment. He is against Trump & Cruz. ANyone else is just fine and dandy with him, even Carson.
I challenge you to cut and paste any words in any of my posts on this thread or on any other Trump thread, where I personally insult Trump supporters.
Put your money where your mouth is or STOP making false claims about how I post, comparing it to people who insult those who are skeptical of Trump as having "TDS" and needing "medication."
Go on. Cut and paste words in my post that are comparably insulting and personal.
If you don't, you simply make it appear that emotion trumps civil political discourse when you are discussing your candidate. And it reflects badly on your candidate.
So go ahead. Post words of mine on this thread that are comparable to the deliberate scornful tone of "Medication can be taken for TDS." You say I am indulging in projection, now prove it.
t, meet Kettle.
Donald Trump fit right into Ronald Reagan's era of governmental deregulation, entrepreneurial deification, and take-charge businessmen. In 1986 Trump would upstage New York City's infamously elephantine bureaucracy by rebuilding Central Park's Wollman ice skating rink. After six years of delays, and over $12 million wasted, the city had announced the rink would be ready in eighteen months. Trump stepped in and the rink was finished in four months, $750,000 under budget.
True, many mocked Trump's repeated "mystery news conferences, held for no apparent reason." Still it was hard not to salute what the New York Times called "one of the bolder feats of civic bravado tried in New York in recent years."

Others here, who have gone to the trouble to learn how to post links to credible sources that confirm their claims EVEN WHEN THEY REVEAL THINGS I DON'T LIKE (that has happened, my candidate is less than perfect, it is painful to admit), are better uses of my time, thanks.
As for attributing credibility to any link that says what I like "with glee," again, prove it -- but you don't know how, do you! As per your post #119.
My goodness gracious.
Yeah...right...
Your post doesn't appear to show that you do.
Go look into the nearest mirror, to see that “t”, which I assume stands for “pot”. LOL
Prove with cut-and-paste how I am projecting. Please.
I don’t hate Trump. I actually like the guy sometimes. I don’t believe he is qualified to run for POTUS. I think he originally intended to run, have the RNC throw him out, then run thirs party a la Perot giving the election to Hillary. I think he is in shock that he might win this thing and is giggling about it.
The question is... will he continue to try to win it when he sews up the nomination, or will he hand it to Hillary? Or will he go for it and be another Hillary? Or will he really try his best?
Even at his best, he can’t stay on the same track more than a few months. He’s a narcissist like Obama and may not listen to his advisors just as O doesn’t. The throught of a Trump presidency is a bit frightening to me due to all the unknowns and his instability on the issues.
Stop calling those of us that actually see him for what he is as opposed to what we wish him to be do not hate him. We will probably end up voting for him, but hoping for a true, stable, Conservative to be POTUS does not make us haters. You sound just like the Missou kids screaming “hater” all the time.

Don't believe me? Go look it up!
You made a claim about someone else, that YOU are guilty of. Go read your posts.
That tinfoil hat, you’re wearing, is tied on too tightly!
Why do you believe patently ridiculous “conspiracy” theory that is completely meritless?
I know he’s down on Trump - I guess I missed that he has no problem with Carson. That’s pretty strange.
I can vouch for Finny that he is quite civil in his posts.
He is different than other Cruzers who display their hate constantly.
