Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, introduced a bill Wednesday that would prohibit refugees from any country the State Department has determined is controlled in part by a foreign terrorist organization from entering the United States.
Cruz, who is running for the GOP presidential nomination, has said in the wake of terrorist attacks in Paris that Muslim refugees from Syria should not be allowed in the United States because the Obama administration cannot determine if refugees are aligned with the Islamic State. He said that Christians from the country should be given safe haven in America because they are victims of genocide.
Cruz goes further with his bill, which would prohibit refugees from Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen from entering the United States. The State Department has said those countries are controlled in part by a foreign terrorist organization.
"After watching the horrific scenes play out in Paris, we have to take basic steps to protect ourselves from the growing threat of radical Islamic terrorism. This legislation will do just that," Cruz said in a statement.

Talk about Common Sense legislation.
No immigration from anyone with a standing declaration of war against us, and deportation of same persons already here.
Unfortunately commonsense does not seem to be the order of the day.
Amend to ban immigration from any country that is a theocracy.
Why should we accept military age refugees in our country and then expect our young men to fight their battles .
Wow. Swing away, Ted. Swing away.
He’s getting to be impressive. Again.
Refugee and immigrant are not the same thing:
Refugees should allowed in on the specific condition they will be returned to the country of origin
Place them in a camp. Provide them with adequate food, water and facilities for hygiene and entertainment. They are in the camp until they are repatriated.
Democrats will just take groups off terrorist list. Muslims need barring.
This will spark things up a bit more ey?
CRUUUUUZZZZZZZZZ.... Say what you will...the man knows how to stir the pot to a boil.
Loving it!
Thanks for posting.
Great interview.
Obama has promised a veto.
